I don't drive a civic but I don't think it has gotten slower. The 2012 is possibly the best civic yet, and it's difficult to compare the Si to cars that have stock turbos. I know someone with a twin-turboed civic and the thing is a fucking animal. However, since it is a FWD it would not be ideal as far as handling is concerned, but the civic is cheaper than the STI and of course the EVO, so the money left for upgrades is significant.

How do you come up with that? The Civic SI is a joke....it has gotten slower and can't handle for shit. That car is a joke. The STI has been in retrograde since 2007, they are slower now then back then. Go to Edmunds and see. Kid, what do you drive You probably haven't driven anything but a Civic. Look at all the tuner magazines, the X is the best car to build off of.

I still wouldn't take a X. There will be more issues before it's all over and if you bought a low miles IX and dumped the extra money that you would have spent on the X into that, it would decimate all. Another thing is that the Evo IX was ahead of its time, whereas there hasn't been an incredible improvement in the Lancer series like there has been with the Honda Civic Si, or the Subaru WRX STI

Look at the latest tests. That one on MT was from an early batch of pre-production X's that had tecnical issues with the ECM. Like i said, I drove both, and the X is a better machine.
