@BCAIN420 Actually, in 2008 (the model year of the cars & when this video was made), the STi only came in a hatchback form. Currently, yes, they brought back the sedan STi as well as the hatchback, but it was only available as a hatchback in '08.

I still think EVO ...
I still think EVO IX was the best road-racing car :) Great looks, great handling and man 300+ HP from 2 liter engine...hail turbos. What's most amazing is that all that power was perfectly transfered to the ground

@2tuns Actually, if you followed your own advice and did 'look it up', in road and track and motor trend, the EVO GSR, EVO MR, are both faster to 60 (4.6 seconds) than the STI, faster in quarter mile, and faster around a track than the STI in their head-to-head comparisons on a track. Both are great cars, but stock and straight out of the factory, the evo is slightly ahead. Numbers are a barometer, but mag times are bench racing. Go drive the cars. As someone who HAS owned both, I prefer EVO.

The EVO is the much superior machine. I have driven both for years and I wouldn't settle for anything less than the best performer. See how it sounds? I had an 06 wrx limited and an EVO MR. The new Evo x gsr and mr are both faster to 60 than the Sti, gsr and mr are faster around a course, and the EVO won last month's Road an Track magazine best handling contest. Sti didn't even make the top ten. Both are great, EVO=best performance

I need response on this.. I have an '08 mazda 3 1.6. Which I can trade in for an evo IV. My car has one third the mileage of the evo. But I love evos and stis. Keep in mind my pasion for cars and tell me, is it a good idea to make the deal?? It's a 1996 evo against a 2008 mazda 3. Also keep in mind that I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO A WEEKLY REPAIR SHIT! ...I want to enjoy my car... :)

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR has the 5-speed manual while the MR has the dual clutch semi-automatic 6-speed. While the Subaru WRX has 5-speed manual and the WRX STI has a 6-speed manual.
