Even though this truck is getting a bit long in the tooth, it has impressive acceleration and that J35 sounds excellent, as you can hear. The only thing Honda really needs to do is improve the MPG and give it more power! I would buy this truck second to an F-150. Updated instrument panel looks much better compared to 06-08 models and for some reason, this truck seems much quicker than the older Ridgeline models... hmmm

I just did it once so im sure i could get a better number with a few more try's. I thought this was decent for just tossing the camera up and going for it. My car has NO MODIFICATIONS other than a stage 1 remap. I've used stopwatch several times and I get 0-60mph 7.1 to 7.2 secs. 0-80 12.4 to 12.5 secs. Tried to do 0-100mph but ran out of straight road and had to break for a corner! Test was done on a level straight road. I guess a professional driver who does 0-60 tests could shave time off the acceleration, so may be 0-60 under 7 secs. I'm not suggesting this is a great sports car but for a 1.7 turbo diesel the car does very well. Put it this way it will perform better than some cars on you tube when you wouldn't expect it to even when you consider it has had a remap! If you are wondering why the film is a bit wobbly, it is because I'm holding camera with the same hand that is holding the steering wheel.

Ok, If you are an evo owner that just thinks that their car is the fastest car made, I get it, you win, don't flame or even feel the need to comment. I post this video objectively, because I have raced an evo x se before and beat him, and just because I don't have it on video, that means that it never happened, right? Well if you are someone that can look at two videos side by side, and time the 0-80 with a stopwatch, not the timer on youtube....you will see that the sonata is just as fast, if not faster than an evo stock vs. stock. I filmed this in response to evo drivers that say that there is no way that evo can be beat by huyndai. If there are faster STOCK evos that have faster times, I welcome them, but in stock trim, the two vehicles are identical in speed.
