Bradley Voytek is completing his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley. He studies the role of brain rhythms and electrophysiology in attention and memory by working with patients with electrodes implanted in their brains, patients who have had portions of their skull surgically removed, and patients with brain lesions. Through their participation, they raised funds that will help the earthquake victims in Chile. On February 27, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake occurred in central Chile, about 56 miles northeast of the city of Concepción. The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Chilean Red Cross, to assist those affected by this disaster. Funds raised by this event will help in part the American Red Cross. Water World Swim will also adopt an agency that is collecting funds to rebuild the Island Juan Fernandez infrastructure, to build schools and the most needed. This will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help those people affected by the earthquake in Chile. Brandon College of San Francisco pledged its support and sponsored one of the swimmers: Howard Do. Howard is very passionate about swimming, biking and running and is preparing seriously for his next triathlon. Every year, he raises funds for the needy, through his participation in various sports events. We are proud to have him on our "team" at the school and look forward to sponsoring his next races. What looked like a great party ends early when it was discovered the promoter failed to apply for the proper city permits. Please remember the cops are stuck in the middle. If they don't shut down the event and people get hurt then the question is asked, "Why didn't you shut it down?". On the other hand they are blamed for crashing the party.

iPad release day arrives, some video of the lines and activity around the Apple Store at the Alderwood Mall, in Lynnwood, WA. Some folks showed up to get in line at 1:30am. I rolled in around 6:30 to pick up my reserved iPad. Shot with a Mino HD and an iPhone with a OWLE adapter. Check the cops expressions at 4:15 when they think a guy dropped his brand new iPad. :)

A little video of some kite buggy cruising after work on Sat the 3rd of April 2010. Nothing fast but perfect cruising and low tide. We were flying Best waroo 7M and an RRD Obsession 10.5M kites. I was in the Libra V-Max and Brian was in a Flexi Buggy. Winds were about 8-10mph.
