Title: 穢血呪姫Artist: しーぷCircle: El Dorado Album: Solaris Lues Original: 懐かしき東方の血 ~ Old World (Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World) MGS Codec jokes aside. I was listening to this new El Dorado album, and I was amazed by how much of an evil and baroque feeling it had, utilizing majorly keyboards but a lot of organs, choruses and nice drums/percussions. Notable are a "Lullaby of Deserted Hell" arranged "a la" fugue. All said and done though I picked this track to upload, because Rin has seen the spots on this playlist quite a lot of times, and because I think it's one of the best tracks on the album even though it has competition such as UN Owen, Septette and, believe it or not, one of the most insane medleys I've heard, combining Nuclear Fusion with Old World and Witches' Ball. Who the heck are these El Dorado dudes!? I know little to none about them, aside from the fact that they like to cover a rather wide range of genres on a lot of their albums, from techno to classical to even poppish. All I know that this "しーぷ" dude, rocks! This track is priceless though. It sounds so evil! But, at the same time there's a contrast within the song itself, utilizing a rather upbeat rythm that almost sounds quite "flamenco-ish" (and very addicting, if I do say so myself), the percussions combined with that bass (or double bass? I'm not really sure) and those violins makes for a very solid arrange. Like take 1:25 for instance, there's a big jazzy/flamenco vibe there ...
