After installing the new Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bd CP amps in this Tahoe last week, i was trying to figure out what sort of demo i could do with them. Then, i got yet ANOTHER comment from someone in one of my previous paper shred video's, accusing us of ripping the paper before hand. (this video www.youtube.com ) First of all, i would never do that. It may appear that way but its really not the case. So after receiving that comment, i figured i would do it again. This time with all 4 woofers. *******NOTE********* if you look close you can see some staples showing in the rear trim piece. Those are NOT visible usually but the bass kept making it pop backwards enough for them to show. After installing the new CP amps the other day, i planned on securing that but i forgot to. So it doesnt look like crap usually, just when the bass pulls all the stuff apart. It will be fixed soon. Work never ends when it comes to a ride like this. i have had a busy week between getting in a car accident, getting hurt, and squaring all my stuff away with the replacement car which happens to be a brand new Lexus ISF. Well i have made at least 5 or 6 video's of it in the last week and although they are very successful, some of you are bitchen' because i havent done any video's with the Tahoe lately. Well just to make you guys feel better, i did what i could, being here by myself and not really prepared.....i am STILL running on 1 of 4 alternators(3 burnt up) and waiting on some special stuff from Mechman, all new 350 amp alternators.... They will be here this week i think. Anyway this is an example of what it sounds like if i am behind you, which unless provoked i WILL NOT do. I am respectful with my system believe it or not :) Anyway, if i wasnt such a nice guy, this is what you might hear if you were in front of me. As you probably know, i have had the (8) Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bd amps for over a year and a half with ZERO problems since the install was completed. Last week i ordered and received the newer model of T2500.1bd which adds two letters to the end. CP. That stands for Constant Power. Basically, this amp puts out all of its power regardless of impedence rise, something you may encounter with most subwoofer enclosures. What this means is more power! Here is a description from the RF website The T2500-1bdCP is based on the legendary T2500-1bd amplifier design with a proprietary "Constant Power" configuration that delivers up to 25% more power (Watts) across all impedance loads. The result is a listening experience cleaner, louder and more impressive than ever before. This T2500-1bdCP amplifier pumps out 2500 watts, easily driving any array of woofers wired to a 1-ohm load. As you can see, my amps each have birthsheets (bench test data) at around 3400+ watts RMS. That is a LOT more then the 2500 watts it is rated at. What you see in the video is the result of 2 of these power house amplifiers per woofer for a STAGGERING 6800 watts RMS per woofer! Remember i have 8 of these on just my woofers alone! The switch i just did from the older model to the new one is night and day. These amps are INCREDIBLE!
