March 28, 1995 Well, everybody knows this game. And I know there are other shorter versions of this game which are also excellent. Considering the circumstances, it is an extraordinary game even for Jordan's standards. Also, it's the game in which he declared he's "really" back. So I wanted to make another version with more replays, more context, a post-game interview with Jordan, quotes, articles and so on. Since almost everything has already been said about this game, I'll just point out a couple of quick things. First off, it should be mentioned that Riley's 94-95 Knicks was the #1 defensive team in the NBA, measured by points allowed per possession. The only player who was able to score 40 or more points against the Knicks that season was young Shaq (41). Other than him, only 3 players managed to score 30 or more points at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks in the entire regular season. And here comes a guy who hasn't played basketball for 18 months, scores 55 points on 21-37 shooting (57%) in just his fifth game, commits only two turnovers, and dishes out the game winning assist. Just too good to be true by any standards. One other thing is that there's a crucial play towards the end of this game which is not included in most of the highlights. All three have long been a part of the Seattle music community with McCready playing in such bands as Pearl Jam and Temple of the Dog, Martin with Skin Yard and the Screaming Trees and Saunders with The Walkabouts as well as blues talents such as Little Pat Rushing, Hubert Sumlin, Sammy Fender, and The Lamont Cranston Band. I've probably seen this movie like a dozen times. This would only be rivalled by the Pippi Longstocking movie and Uncle Buck, those two because they were the only movies my nana had on VHS and so whenever we stayed over at her house we would watch one or both of them. My view count of Uncle Buck is probably in the fifties. Behind-the-scenes trivia - I didn't watch this back after rendering it out! So, haaaaah, I hope there are no major screw ups in it. I... should probably watch it back right now huh so that if there are, only a couple of people will see them. Watching it now and ... hah, this is a better video than I remember making. I do say "it's not a good film" and then later say "it's just a good film". Maybe the twin towers WERE in it. They're not a plot point though. Hahaha they DO do some hacking from the top of the Empire State Building, though! They have NO reason to be up there they just are like "where's a cool place to do some hacking?" and then Cereal does a big "wooo yeaaaah!" on the top of the building with a sweeping camera pan. He's not the one hacking, the others are hacking, and he's whooping. They go to the top of the empire state building to give a guy some parking violations I think. It's part of that sequence. And yeah I watched it, a couple of lighting issues I guess but nothing I can be bothered fixing. Okay!
