Shockwave Jet Truck 2009 MCAS Miramar Airshow MCAS Miramar Miramar, California Friday October 2, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, Kent Shockley fires up the newly rebuilt Shockwave Jet Truck and takes it down Runway 24R at Miramar for a dry run. This newly rebuilt Shockwave features many more and much-improved safety features than the original. It is those safety features that were on the original Shockwave that Kent is able to bring to you this "second-generation" Shockwave. I apologize for any bad color and/or vertical lines or American flag intrusion that may or may not be in this video. Unfortunately there were American flags that got in the way of the video during some critical parts of the videos and I have had some camera trouble throughout the weekend. It bothers me to see some other counties still have very poor safety at major air shows. The former soviet block has had several crashes that I would consider safety neglect a factor, if not the cause. Aerobatics should not be done over crowds. Aerobatics should be kept in a safe margin away from the crowd and to some extent the flight line. I even frown on extremely low passes over crowds. Pilots and management/command should have restraint from flying planes to extreme limits <b>...</b>

This 8-part video shows how things were for my 2009 firework show. Since about 1992, I began lighting fireworks. I've since used them constantly, going to the real big stuff (the maximum I'm allowed) by 2005. This year's fireworks is essentially unchanged in terms of how good it was. While I have little variety and too much of some things, I did much better with combos. By setting off more than 1 weaker firework at a time, you can create a new or bigger effect. For example, by having a smoke ball's fuse touch the tip of a firecracker's fuse, and setting off a smoke ball, you can, in a sense, get an exploding smoke ball. Combine 2 smoke balls and you can get either a more intense smoke (if the same color) or a new/gradient color (if different colors) produced. I never combo the big stuff - it's too risky. Here's what each of the 8 parts contains, to find the segment that interests you most (parts 2 to 5 involve daytime fireworks and massive combos while parts 6 to 8 contain nighttime fireworks (and the main show)): Part 1 - how I get fireworks, a look at this year's stash, and the excessive wrapping used. If you want to see the effects, skip the first segment. Part 2 - launch base setup (for things like rockets), how to light a punk, and how to light fireworks start this segment. The effects of smoke balls (including combining them), firecrackers (the set of 100), and crackling dynamite follow for the second half. Part 3 - firecrackers (the set of 12), Cracker Balls, combo <b>...</b>

The Reds' performance over NYC was their first, and was part of a larger North American goodwill tour, which included airshows in Quebec City, Langley AFB, and Rhode Island, and the NYC performance brought mainly in part by ICAP, which is the world's premier voice and electronic interdealer broker, delivering specialist intermediary broking services to trading professionals in the wholesale financial markets. Despite the fact that it was a private show for the company (and that ICAP had a private party on South Beach, as noted by the large tent you saw in the beginning of the video), it was indeed open to the public to view from the beach or boardwalk.
