Typically, when BMW releases a new M3, it launches it in coupe form first. (In fact, sales of the M3 sedan have, in North America at least, slowed to such an extent that BMW NA was tempted to stop bringing it here altogether.) But not the new model -- according to the latest intel, the next-gen M3 will arrive in four-door guise first.
Interior and exterior renderings of the next generation 2013/2014 BMW M3 (F80/F8). The M3 coupe may still be called the M4. It is still not known. Personally I hope they don't call the coupe an M4. What is known is that power will come from an all new V6 OR inline-6 (depending on which publication you read) engine that will be powered by twin turbos. The new M3 will have around 450 hp, making it the fastest production model M3 yet, with 0-60 times dropping to an estimated 4.0 seconds.

So there was plenty to potentially bungle with the all-new M5. But BMW went to great lengths to ensure that its flagship's sporting sanctity will satisfy rabid enthusiasts. Though still 90 pounds heavier than a comparably equipped 550i, the new M5 got lighter through aluminum components and by ditching the huge rubber subframe bushings. Now that the rear suspension is bolted directly to the chassis, this two-ton ride feels more in tune with the road. A hydraulic steering setup also replaces the standard 5 Series' electric arrangement and has a crisper feel. Cockpit-adjustable shocks round out a tightly tuned suspension package, and heavier-duty six-piston brakes assure strong stops with the 18- or 19-inch wheels. The brakes, the rear differential, the 5-link rear suspension and the speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering all come from the current M3, and the engine comes from the Z4 sDrive35is. The six-speed manual gearbox is identical to the one in the 135i, but there's a unique, lighter flywheel in the clutch assembly. Out of the box! The new (neuer) Audi S4 Avant Facelift. It has the same 333 hp supercharged V6T engine as the 2011/2012 model. The manual transmission is gone and thanks to an "efficiency mode" it now consumes less fuel. This one features "phantom black" paint and the rahter expensive carbon interior.
