Renderings of a new BMW. -Info- Artist known as WildSpeed has rendered the 2014 BMW M3 sedan. The next-generation M3 may come to feature a new six-cylinder power plant but no details have been confirmed. There have been reports that BMW will create a new triple-turbo six-pot or a turbocharged V6 (yes, V6) for the next M3. But a previous report said that a new triple-turbo 3.2 liter unit producing 450 PS (331 kW / 444 bhp) was the front-runner for the next M3. The next-generation 2012 BMW 3-Series is due for an unveiling on October 14.

On the heels of yesterday's spy shots of the upcoming 2014 BMW M3, we get another set today of a prototype sporting much less camouflage. The prototype caught here is in its finished trim and is now sporting the quad-exhaust expected of the next M3. We can also now make out the details of the headlights and taillamps while getting a better look at those flared wheel arches, bumpers, hood and grille. The previous shots showed a prototype with a dual-exhaust and make-shift lamps, bumpers and hood. This set of spy photos is giving us a clearer idea of what the final M3 will look like. The bonnet of the BMW M3 CRT and the bucket seats for the driver and front passenger are made from a cellular carbon honeycomb, which is produced in a globally unique process pioneered for the manufacture of body components for the BMW i3 and BMW i8 models.
