This is a comparison vid of NFK 2K1 on the Sega Dreamcast vs Madden 2001 on the Playstation 2. I chose the Colts (not that I'm a Colts fan or anything, I just chose them to choose them), and started a season in each game. I just made this vid for kicks, but I do remember the fanboy arguments over this one. On a personal level, I'll tell you up front, I prefer 2K1. It just plays better IMO. However, Madden would also have been a fine football game to own if were an early PS2 adopter. For it's time, it was the prettiest football game of all time. I'm not much for sports game personally. I think one or two every ten years suits me just fine. As you can tell from the footage, I'm not very good at them anyways. I got both of these games for free from a friend. The general consensus in the battle between these two is Madden definitely had the better graphics, and presentation, but 2K1 had the better gameplay (and definitely the better play calling screen, and tackle animations). As a casual sports game player, NFL 2k1 is the only modern (as in 3D, and not 16-bit) Football game I've played that I could get into. Both games have a bunch of extra features to them to keep you playing, but I swear to you Madden cheats. So does 2K1 at times, but Madden always seems to cheat on me. Especially with the coin toss. I actually took the Madden footage first, and partially played a few games prior, and out of three games, I lost the coin toss three times. I don't think you can win the coin ...
