Kobie Van Rensburg - Vi Ricorda, O Boschi Ombrosi

South-African tenor Kobie Van Rensburg singing Orfeo's aria Vi Ricorda, O Boschi Ombrosi from Claudio Monteverdi's favola in musica L'Orfeo (SV 318). First performed before the Accademia degl'Invaghiti on 24 February 1607 in Mantua, Italy, it is considered one of the earliest works recognized as an opera. This particular clip is taken from the video filmed in October 2004 at the Théâtre municipal de Tourcoing, France with La Grande Écurie et la Chambre du Roy conduced by Jean-Claude Malgoire... Kobie Van Rensburg is, of course, my absolutely favourite tenor ever. :) Recorded by Dynamic - www.dynamic.it Displayed with the permission of Dynamic Subscribe! Subscribe! Subscribe! :)
