Forza 3 VS GT5P Suzuka G37S / Skyline 350GT
So here we have a special challenge. I made up a challenge to where it would challenge both games graphics and physics models. There was only one complicatoin: The car. I asked my friends from xbox live what I should use, and the answe came up Infinity G37. Now, Forza 3 has the G37S Coupe, GT has a bit of a different version; the Nissan Skyline 350GT Coupe. Both are essentially the same car but the Nissan was obviously RHD and the speedo read in km/h, and only went up to 180 km/h. Both ends of the video started out with one lap on the interior view (well the GT5:P part started with showing off the car in the paddock garage), then moved on to the exterior replay angles. I'll give my description and conclusion on both below. Forza 3: •Graphics- If there's always been one thing forza has been pretty behind on it's the graphical capability. The graphics are good, yes, but not on the same scale as GT's. The car models look stunning (but still not 'real') in the garage mode, but whenever you go into a race the game uses a lower-res car model and all the 3-D modeling behind say a mesh or grille (or just the whole grille itself) just turnes to an unappealing mesh texture. Now my stand on textures are that it's just an excuse to be lazy. But when MS pushes a developer to crank out a new game in just 2 and a half years, you do have to make some compramises. •Physics- I felt that there is too much of a on-the-knife's-edge feeling when driving on FM3. I have taken pictures of a Lamborghini 350 GT The 350 GT, with a distinctly more balanced silhouette compared to the 350 GTV prototype (designed by Franco Scaglione), is the first Lamborghini to enter production. The engine is the work of the engineer Giotto Bizzarrini. The body of the car features several aluminium elements, independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels: some models are also equipped with a limited slip dfferential. By the end of 1966, the Carrozzeria Touring produces 120 models, of which the last ones have a 4 litre engine with the same power as that of the 3,5 litre but with greater torque. In addition to this model two spyders (350 GTS) are produced by the same coachbuilder.
