"Five Minutes Of Funk" was a hit single from "Escape", the second album by hip-hop group Whodini, released in 1984 on the Jive label. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. Whodini is a hip-hop group that was formed in 1981. The Brooklyn, New York-based trio consisted of vocalist and main lyricist Jalil Hutchins (one of the few rappers at the time to go by his real name), co-vocalist John Fletcher aka Ecstasy (who wore a Zorro-style hat as his trademark), and turntable artist DJ Drew Carter aka Grandmaster Dee. Whodini was among the very first hip-hop groups to cultivate a high-profile national following for hip-hop music and made significant inroads on urban radio. As they were contemporaries of other hip-hop groups such as the Fat Boys, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and Afrika Bambaataa, the group was managed by Russell Simmons, brother of Joseph 'Run' Simmons of Run-DMC. This time-lapse documents the 2600 km/134 hour journey of the Norwegian "Hurtigruten" from Bergen to Kirkenes, by some described as the world's most beautiful sea voyage. Norwegian public broadcaster NRK aired the entire journey live from the 16th to the 22nd of June 2011.
