Walter Gieseking: Piano Concerto in C major, K. 503 - Movement 1, Part 1 (Mozart) - 1953

Edwin Fischer, K. 503, Movement 3: www.youtube.com --------------------------------------------------------------- Walter Gieseking (1895-1956) is soloist in this 1953 recording of the Mozart piano concerto in C major, K. 503. The Philharmonia Orchestra is conducted by the Austrian conductor Hans Rosbaud (1895-1962). I recorded this audio track from an LP issued in 1956 under the Angel (EMI) label, serial number 35215. Program notes by the late British pianist, music critic, musical administrator and Mozart authority Sir William Frederick Glock (1908-2000) on slipcase. (Glock studied for three years under Artur Schnabel in Berlin, and was chief music critic of "The Observer" from 1934 to 1939.) What you can expect from the new 5 Series C ball is more length and an even more controllable ball motion at the breakpoint. From tournament bowlers to the average league player, this ball will undoubtedly be the first ball out of the bag. This beautiful Purple/Blue/White Pearl ball in its out of the box 4000 sanded and polished state is designed for medium to dry lanes. In a larger volume of oil, just adjust the surface to a 2000 grit scuffed surface and you will gain an additional 5 boards of hook for the average player - some may see even more.

Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 25 in C, K. 503 [complete]

The Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major, K. 503, was completed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on December 4, 1786, alongside the Prague Symphony, K.504. Although two more concertos (K.537 and K.595) would later follow, this work is the last of the twelve great piano concertos written in Vienna between 1784 and 1786. Though the orchestra lacks clarinets, it does include trumpets and timpani. The concerto is one of Mozart's longest, with a duration of about 33 minutes. It has the following three movements: 1. Allegro maestoso 2. Andante in F major 3. Allegretto While the concerto is frequently compared to the Jupiter Symphony, Girdlestone considers its closest parallel to be the String Quintet in C, K. 515. The expansive first movement is one of Mozart's most symphonic concerto movements. This movement subtly slips in and out of the minor several times. One of the secondary themes of the concerto's first movement is a march that often reminds people of the then unwritten Marseillaise. Beethoven references this concerto in his own Fourth Piano Concerto. In addition, the famous motif in the first movement of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony resembles one found in this concerto. Also both Mozart's 25th and Beethoven's 5th concerti have a strong march-like theme in the first movement that is first played in minor and then soon appears gloriously in major. The tranquil second movement is in sonata form, but lacks a development. It extensively uses the winds. The third movement is a sonata ...

One Tree Hill 503 Recap with Jason C.

The Victoria-is-Brooke's-mom reveal left us shocked, but that wasn't all that happened in last week's episode of One Tree Hill. Peyton signed her first band and tried to interpret Lindsey's actions, Nathan moved on from his anger and started fresh with his family, and Lindsey wondered if she might have something to be worried about. Mozart/Schnittke: Piano Concerto No. 25

Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503, first movement (Allegro maestoso), with a cadenza by Alfred Schnittke. I start toward the end of the first movement (playing an arrangement of the orchestra part by some nameless editor from the International Music Company), then play the Schnittke cadenza, and the end of the orchestra part. All on my brand new (used) Yamaha upright piano! The mistakes were just meant to add character.

Anton Nel - Mozart Concerto No. 25, K.503 - IN THE RAIN!

This August outdoor concert at the 2009 Britt Music Festival could have been a disaster, but instead Anton Nel and the wonderful orchestra turned it into a night the audience will never forget. Conductor Peter Bay had just begun the Mozart Piano Concerto when the lightening started followed by a torrential downpour. Many people raced for their cars, but Maestro Bay invited the rest to take refuge in the orchestra shell whereupon Anton Nel gave them a dazzling 30 minute impromptu solo recital as the rain fell in buckets only feet away. The rain eventually slowed, and Conductor Bay invited the audience to remain amongst the musicians as he resumed the remainder of the concert, an "up close and personal" musical treat none will ever forget.
