PART 1 of 2 /////////////// I grew up with Ruger...so did millions more. Ruger guns are tough, usually reasonably priced, well-designed, fun, and continue to stand the test of time. With the introduction of their piston-driven AR-15, the SR-556, their new direction in the acceptance of tactical guns is solidified. This overcomes a past Bill Ruger-era disdain for the such guns in the hands of civilian, a misguided policy that has long since been overturned. Because of this, the mere fact the SR-556 is a Ruger makes it something special. The good news is that the gun does not disappoint even when subjected to extensive shooting and evaluation as we did at TNP. In tactical Run N Guns the SR performed well: accurate, fast shooting, well-equipped, and reliable. It won over all the shooters, including me. Fifty yard accuracy with an unmagnified red dot was impressive with some groups but opened up some at 100 yards. The gun overall showed about a 2 MOA capability at 100 yards with regular ball ammo. Some 1 MOA groups with this regular ammo were achieved but were non-standard. With match grade ammo and careful benchresting, I think the gun might be 1 MOA capable. A better trigger should aid this quest for max accuracy of the SR-556. The design seems sound and squared away with a nice selection of supporting accessories. With a trim proprietary Troy Industries 10 quad rail and included covers, Troy BUIS, 3 30-rd Magpul PMAGs, Hogue grip, CAA collapsible stock, and Ruger soft case <b>...</b>

This is a Gemtech Silencer on a Sig Sauer 556/ .223! To be able to own a silencer.... You must first go to a class three dealer in your state. They will give you lots of paperwork. You have to get mug shots and fingerprints and have the paperwork signed by the Sheriff of the County you reside in. After it is signed by the sheriff and all filled out with your info, picture, and prints you can then send it to the ATF headquarters in GA with a $200 money order. About 4-6 months later they will either approve your application(s) or deny it or them. You can apply for multiple at a time if you wish. Once you are approved, your class three dealer will call you to pick it up. Then you have to pay for the silencer and depending on the model they vary in price. The one in this video a Gemtech that ran about $900. So, including the tax stamp you are looking around $1100.00! Once you pay the dealer you then have to fill out a form like your purchasing any other ordinary gun. The silencer has a serial number and once all that is done you are given the tax stamp on a piece of paper with your info and info about the silencer including it's serial number. You must keep your tax stamp with your silencer at all times! Hope this all helps. I think its well established by now that the Ruger SR 556 is an excellent rifle, with good value. In this video I focus on those great features, but I also try to go over what I have seen as some of the cons. Overall, I personally think the SR is a fantastic choice and I would choose it again over any other rifle in its price range. There are a couple of cons that I wanted to bring to talk about, but nothing that would swing me away from this rifle.

Offering near-perfect balance, speed, and quality, the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian 556 is an excellent utility or every day carry (EDC) knife choice. Various steels are used in the Mini-Grips, like that the 440C and limited edition D2 Cabelas models shown, but current versions are offered in the very useful 154CM steel. Blades have various finishes and grinds as well but my favorite is the bright finished plain edge clip versions. Mini-Grips are good looking and functional blades with impressive edge retention and solid lockup. Other upsides include: Axis lock mechanism, ergonomic handle, well-designed clip (that is reversible), beautiful colorations, and superb fit and finish throughout, and reasonable 2.6 oz carry weight. Minor downsides would include: thicker handles vs alternatives, thicker blade has primary grind that does not slice as well as a full flat ground thinner blade (like the SOG Flash 1), and higher cost. But that's about it. Here's his advise... ...this is what i would recommend when your new 556 arrives... ...the first thing that i would do is to carefully read the owners manual...getting to know all the major components...some study of the parts diagram would be helpful...i'm sure... ...field strip the entire rifle and throughly clean the entire weapon using Breakfree CLP...removing all grease and perserative oils...then liberally coat the entire weapon with Breakfree CLP and let sit overnight or longer...the Breakfree will migrate overnight...and will form a protective film on the metal surfaces...providing a good degree of corrosion protection...even after the solvent evaportes and the metal appears dry...it will still be protecting the metal and finish of your weapon... ...clean the barrel, chamber and gas tube using a nylon bristle brush of the approprate size...and dry by running clean patches through them <b>...</b>

I think its well established by now that the Ruger SR 556 is an excellent rifle, with good value. In this video I focus on those great features, but I also try to go over what I have seen as some of the cons. Overall, I personally think the SR is a fantastic choice and I would choose it again over any other rifle in its price range.
