We started playing with the 458; doing some accelerations, flyby's, making some shots with the GoPro camera, which was so mu fun that I forget that a brand new 991 Carrera S should join us. After an hour or so, the 991 arrived and we started making some more shots of both cars and we ended with some little races! As expected, the 911 has been stretched some, with a wheelbase 100 mm (10 cm/3.9 inches) longer than it's predecessor. The new 911 Carrera also comes with a body made of intelligent aluminum-steel for reduced weight and greater rigidity. The car has a wider track at the front and rides on 20-inch wheels. Under that rear bonnet comes a 3.4 liter boxer engine with 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp) for the standard Carrera and a 3.8 liter with 400 PS (294 kW / 394 bhp) for the Carrera S (torque figures were not provided). The Carrera S with the PDK transmission does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 4.3 seconds - 4.1 with the Sport Plus function in the optional Sport Chrono package. Those numbers are 4.6 and 4.4 seconds, respectively, for the standard 911 Carrera. Other technologies available include the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), available for the first time on the Carrera S, which provides an optimized cornering with intelligent distribution of lateral forces. The 2012 Porsche 911 will make its global debut at the Frankfurt motor show on September 13. The model goes on sale on December 3 but will start taking orders as early as September 1. Prices in Germany will start at €88038 for the 911 Carrera and €102436 for the Carrera S, VAT included. Their kit adds a new front bumper, as well as rear bumper and side skirts. Funny thing is the six-piped exhaust, which I found quite impressive!! But every little detail has a meaning, and this specific huge exhaust helps the new Porsche's engine to perform better and, above all, be louder. Sound is a very important part in a car, therefore it is somewhat the tuner's job to turn an already cool sound into an epic orchestra! Starting to work on the 911 again feels like the debut of more advanced work later on, including more visual modifications and definite engine performance (like with the Gemballa Avalanche or Mirage GT). The kit also include forged allow wheels, whose style is very similar to that of the MP4's, and somehow reminds me of Gemballa (I've seen similar wheels on a Gemballa SLR as well as on the other cars presented during the 2011 Top Marques). Sadly though, both the 911 and Cayenne were black, inside a booth with black carpet and black walls BUT extreme lighting from above. It made it really difficult to see the cars and the details! Please write a comment with your opinion about the 7 speed manual ! ... My first impressions of the new Porsche 991 manual 7 speed transmission ... Info: ' Nowadays most people buy the optional PDK automatic, because it shifts faster than a manual, it's easier to use for less experienced drivers, it's very comfortabel in traffic and on long trips PLUS it saves you fuel thanks to the very long gear ratio of the 7th gear. With the new 7 speed manual, Porsche is giving you exactly the same setup. It's actually a conversion of the dual clutch transmission, eventhough the third gear has a longer, the seventh gear a shorter gear ratio than the PDK. The old 997 six speed box just wouldn't fit into the shorter tail of the 991. From first to sixth gear, you get a sport ratio, that allows the car to perfom at it's best, ensuring maximium acceleration and topspeed. Up to this point there's no difference to the old six speed. Topspeed is reached in sixth gear aswell, while in seventh gear you get lower rpms and engine-speeds and a much better fuel consumption....' I'm totally impressed and I hope I get to drive one of these someday.

991 Carrera S Cabriolet Press release Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. hc F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is doubling the driving fun to be had from the new 911 Carrera by putting a Cabriolet alongside the Coupé. The debut of the new generation of the sports car classic is being followed only a few months later by the open-top models of the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S in the new 911 design. What the Coupé began with the new aluminium-steel body, the Cabriolet continues with the all-new, unique hood: As a result, the typical 911 roof line is initially retained in its entirety. Even when closed up, the Cabriolet cuts a fine figure. Intelligent lightweight design, even including the use of magnesium in the hood, ensures less weight and more sportiness, lower fuel consumption and greater comfort. With the open-top 911s as well, Porsche has managed to reverse the weight spiral and make the new Cabrio models significantly lighter than its predecessors. Each of the two new Cabriolets has the same engine as its Carrera Coupé equivalent. The rear of the 911 Carrera Cabrio houses a 3.4-litre flat engine generating 350 hp (257 kW) of power driving the rear wheels through a seven-gear manual transmission. The open-top Carrera S comes with a 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine developing 400 hp (294 kW) and also a seven-gear manual transmission featured as standard. That means that the open-top 911s as well are distancing themselves even further from the competition in terms of efficiency; both models <b>...</b>

In this video you can see me driving a dark blue Porsche 991 911 Carrera S with a Porsche double clutch transmission! You can hear it starting up, doing some fast accelerations including loud tunnel accelerations and doing some downshifts! It is such an amazing car which produces 400HP out of a 3,8l 6 cylinder boxer engine!!! It only weights about 1,5t!!! The accelerations are so fu****g amazingl!!! It runs from 0-100km/h in 4,3 seconds with the PDK and sport + which I had on!!! Video was taken on a sunny with my Sony HDR CX 360 VE in Full HD and 5.1 surround sound!
