'Albela Sajan aaya re..' a Bandish on Raga 'Ahir Bhairav' sung by Paartho Ghosh. The track is fully self-accomplished. ..do not forget to rate and comment. Description of the Raga (Ahir Bhairav) - This is an old rag. It is characterized by the use of Komal Re and Komal Ni. This mode does not belong to any of the 10 thats put forward by Bhatkhande; however for some inexplicable reason, he ascribed this rag to Bhairav That. Often times, this rag is referred to by its south Indian name of Chakravaka. This is an early morning rag. For those who are still inclined towords the Vadi / Samvadi theory it has been suggested that Ma is its vadi and Sa as its samvadi. Ahir Bhairav is very well known through old film songs such as "Pucho Na Kaise" and "Meri Bina Tum Bin Roye Sajana". There are actually so many film songs in Ahir Bhairav that it is not really possible to go over them here. There are two approaches to this rag (Rao 1980). The first type omits Ni in the arohana: it is therefore shadav - sampurna. The second approach does not omit any note; therefore it is sampurna - sampurna. Ramachandra and lyrics by Rajendra Krishan........... Lata Mangeshkar (Marathi: लता मंगेशकर; born September 28, 1929) is a singer from India. She is one of the best-known playback singers in the Hindi film industry. Mangeshkar's career started in 1942 and has spanned over six and a half decades. She sang in over a thousand Bollywood movies and has sung songs in over twenty regional Indian languages, but primarily in Hindi. She is the elder sister of the equally accomplished singer Asha Bhosle and lesser-known singers, brother Hridayanath Mangeshkar and sisters Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Mangeshkar. Lata is the second vocalist ever to have received the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. 1951 musical comedy extravaganza produced by Bhagwan da. He was born in a poor Marathi family. His is story from rags to riches to rags again. Bhagwan Dada was born in 1913 as Bhagwan Abhaji Palav. He was the son of a textile mill worker but was obsessed with films. He worked as a labourer but dreamt of films. He got his break with bit roles in silent films and got totally involved with the studios. He learnt film making and From 1938 to 1949 he directed a string of low budget stunt and action films that were popular with the working classes. He used to play a naive simpleton. On advice of Raj Kapoor he turned to making a social film called Albela starring Bhagwan and Geeta Bali (Raj Kapoor's sister-in-law), and featuring music by his friend Chitalkar, or C. Ramchandra. Albela was a huge hit. After that Bhagwan did not have any more hits and eventually had to give up producing and directing films, sell his bungalow and cars and move to a chawl. He took whatever roles he could get, but apart from Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje and Chori Chori, none were roles of note, and he eventually took on bit parts in which he did his famous dance. Most of Bhagwan's associates left him in his time of need, apart from C. Ramchandra, Om Prakash and lyricist Rajinder Krishan, who continued to meet him even in his chawl. He was one of the members of the Indian fusion group Tabla Beat Science, with Zakir Hussain and Bill Laswell. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor, in 2010. Ustad Sultan Khan died on 27 November 2011 in Mumbai,Maharashtra India after a prolonged illness. He was undergoing dialysis for the last four years and lost his speech in his last few days. He died on his way to the hospital. The funeral was held in his hometown of Jodhpur, Rajasthan on 28 November 2011.
