She has had a long career starring and co-starring in films, playing Polly Benedict on the big screen of the 1930s and 1940s in the Andy Hardy series, and on The Bob Newhart Show as Newhart's character's mother-in-law. Her first film role was in Waterfront Lady in 1935. She appeared in eighteen films between 1935 and 1937. It was in 1937 that her first notable role came as Andy Hardy's girlfriend, Polly Benedict, in You're Only Young Once. In the long-running, Andy Hardy film series, she played Polly twelve times, with the last appearance being in Andy Hardy's Double Life in 1942. The Legacy of Maury Albertson
A short movie about the legacy of one of Village Earth's founders, Dr. Maurice Albertson. He was born and grew up in Hays, Kansas. There he learned from his father about helping others in a rural environment and living a life based on the Sermon on the Mount. Having witnessed economic hardship at the time of the Great Depression and seeing the effect of prolonged drought, he was inspired to focus on water resources.[9] Albertson eventually headed all research projects at CSU. He received a BS degree from Iowa State University, Ames, earned MS and Ph.D. degrees in mechanics and hydraulics from The University of Iowa, and received a D.Phys.Sc. degree from the University of Grenoble in France. His first wife, Dolly (Myrtle Marie Campbell originally of Waterloo, IA), died in 1976. His second wife, Audrey Faulkner, who survived him, is co-author on some of his publications. Albertson has been credited with changing the face of US volunteerism. He recalled that the phone rang at 2 AM on a 1961 morning, and that when he answered he found himself talking to Sargent Shriver, first director of the Peace Corps. Shriver was calling to ask him about a CSURF study on creating a youth volunteer group. Shriver apologized for the hour, but said he'd been working on the program all night and had worked his way to Albertson on his list of people to call. This is Zombie Apocalypse series episode ONE! For those who know about this stuff I'm covering a lot of familiar and, in some cases, well trodden ground, but this is new to someone and it was new to me a couple years ago so please go easy on me if I repeat things others have said. Like I say - it's new to someone. Anyway. Things mentioned in the video: 1.) I'll briefly mention Hubbert's peak in the video. He's worth checking out as in introduction to peak oil if you don't know about it. Also check out Mike Ruppert's "Collapse" or his book "Confronting Collapse." Ruppert is a bit more enthusiastic about this and, in my opinion, a touch negative, but that's stylistic taste, I suppose. Truth be told mass starvation might happen and he is right that a global population crunch (read: mass die-off) could happen. Which would be a very bad time. I'll deal with that scenario in a future episode. Another guy to look into would be the late Matt Simmons. He's also a bt of a negative-nancy, but his information is well researched and predictive (ie useful as a filter for interpreting data regarding current as well as future events). And, lastly, Mel Gibson. Road Warrior is the worst case scenario. I doubt it'll happen, but that's what will go down if literally everything that can go wrong does go wrong. That said, I have faith that people will attempt to do the right thing and help each other. Obviously time will tell, but the best we can do is live well and try to help our friends and <b>...</b>

He had an iconic 53-year career as a process engineer in the wastewater industry. Noted for his brilliance, Orrie authored 26 patents and was the recipient of many prestigious industry awards. But it was Orrie's heart that created the lifelong bonds among colleagues and friends.
