Su-27PD - Anatoly Kvochur

A display team called "Lyotchiki-Ispyttahteli" (Test Pilots) was organized at Lii (MM Gromov Flight Research Institute) by the well known test pilot Anatoliy Kvochur - among other things with a view to advertise the Flight Research Institute and possibly attracting foreign orders for R&D work. His closest aide was Test Pilot 1st Class Vladimir Logvinovsky . Over the years the team also included other well know test pilots - Sergey Trevsvyatskiy, Alexandr Beschastnov, Alaxandr Garnaev and Alexandr Pavlov. They demonstrated their skills in many airshows over the world - in Thailand, the UAE, Germany, the UK, Australia, France, the Czech Rebuplic, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, and other countries -. The team operated tow single seater Su-27P coded 595 White & 598 White. The latter was subsequently retrofitted with a Su-27K style IFR probe in accordance to Kvochur's request, becoming the one-off Su-27PD. Originally the team also flew 2 probe-equipped Su-30 two-seaters, 596 White & 597 White. These were sometime erroneously called Su-27PU by the popular press. At times the pilots of the team went too far in their desire to impress the spectators, ignoring safety. At the Hydro Aviation Show 1996 Kvochur descended to just 5 m (16ft) above the water. This infuriated Sukhoi OKB General Designer Mikhail Simonov so much, that he barred Kvochur from the flying-display and the jet was flown by another pilot for the rest ...

Anatoly Karpov Vs Garry Kasparov - Rapid Match 2009: Valencia, Spain - Gary Chess Grandmaster

♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com ♕ OnlineChessLessons.net "Kasparov Vs Karpov Rapid Match 2009 Valencia, Spain" - Karpov opens with his normal d4 and Kasparov responds with the sharp Grunfeld Defense. Karpov attempts to avoid excess complications in the opening by fianchettoing his kingside bishop, although black is able to quickly create counterplay with 7. ...c5 and 8. ...e6. An unusual knight maneuver (10. Nec3!?) by Karpov achieves solid control of the center. Kasparov plays actively with 13. ...Bd4!? and Karpov is forced to create a mass of complications beginning with 14. a5!? Black had achieved a solid position with dynamic counterplay, however in time-trouble Kasparov dropped a pawn with 25. ...Qf6? (better was 25. ...Qa6). Kasparov had one more chance to salvage the game, however he blundered in severe time-trouble 32. ...Bc1 33. ...Nd3+ and 34. ...Bc2 - allowing white to easily promote his past d-pawn. Anatoly Karpov vs Wolfgang Unzicker: The Ruy Lopez, Chigorin Defense, 1974 Nice

♕ ARTICLE: www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com Karpov puts on an absolute clinic in this game, demonstrating the power of prophylaxis and deep positional maneuvering in the Ruy Lopez (also known as the Spanish Game). Unzicker opts for the Chigorin Defense, although with the awkward knight retreat 13. ...Nd8?! black's pieces become very difficult to coordinate. Karpov methodically fixes the queenside with 14. a4 and 16. b4! - depriving black of any counterplay on that side of the board and allowing white to consolidate his position before pressing forward. Karpov introduced an incredibly effective blockading method with 24. Ba7! - completely shutting down black's activity on the a-file and allowing white to completely regroup before opening up another front on the kingside with 30. f4! Unzicker attempted to shut down the position and huddle into a defensive crouch to passively try to make a draw, however Karpov attentively sought to weaken the light squares on black's kingside with 35. Bh5! and decisively infiltrated with 43. Qg6. Unzicker resigned after 44. Nh5 as his entire position was in near-perfect zugzwang. After the game, Unzicker declared "One is permitted to lose to Karpov with black!" PGN AT: www.chessgames.com ICC: www.chessclub.com

Permaculture in Russia with Anatoly Molchanov

www.permacultureplanet.com The Permaculture (Permanent Culture) lifestyle now reaches the most far flung corners of our globe. In this short news report meet Anatoly Molchanov and his family near Moscow in Russia. Inspired by Vladamir Megre, Anatoly has adopted a variety of Permaculture principles and techniques in the development of the Rodnoye Eco-Village. The main concept is to become better unified and affiliated with nature. In a city man lives in an artificial world, he becomes a robot. But if man lives in a natural environment he can become a spiritual being. It is only in nature that man becomes man, Anatoly Molchanov

-010 Anatoly Solovyanenko sings "Kalinka" 1988

I think this may have been the last superb performance of Kalinka by a soloist in the Ensemble's great era 1940s-1980s - especially as it was performed in very difficult circumstances. Anatoly Solovyanenko sings "Kalinka" 1988 Alexandrov Ensemble 1988 UK tour. Playlist of 10 items: www.youtube.com Conductor: Oleg Reshetkiin. Principal conductor: Vladimir Gordeev. Choirmaster: Grigori Novikov. Choreographer: Lev Kulikov. This was filmed in London 1988. The video shows a choir of up to 36; orchestra and dance troupe are the usual size, though. This was originally planned as an Alexandrov Ensemble tour including a 28-piece orchestra, 27 dancers, a choir of 56*, and 12 excellent soloists, and a soundtrack of these was recorded at the Albert Hall, London, 24-26 March 1988. However this may well have been a year of low morale for the Ensemble, between 1987 when their director BA Alexandrov retired, and 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell. Perhaps the Ensemble was suffering a funding crisis. When the tour reached Leicester, the tiny but supportive audience talked of rumours of 20-25 defections by Ensemble members, and of V. Kuleshov and his own choristers stepping in to partially fill the gap. It was said that all of the Alexandrov Ensemble choir and soloists remaining after the defections had been recalled to the USSR. * Some interesting names listed in the original choir (not seen here) were: Oleg Nikolaevich Vinogradov; Sergei Vladimirovich Nikitin; Nikolai Sergeevich Polozkov ...

1/2 Anatoly Nisnevich Dead at 74 Kirov Principal Mariinsky Coach Vaganova Teacher

The death of anyone is a sad moment and I have no idea how others thought of him, but every time that he saw me, he greeted me with a big smile and was very friendly. For me, what I will remember most is the recent gala performance in honor of his wife of more than 45 years, Nina Ukhova, the main Mariinsky corps de ballet coach for many years. I had the privilege of seeing them backstage, after this gala tribute to her. Nina had received many flowers on stage, but even more backstage from many of the ballerinas. They needed help in carrying the flowers, since there were too many flowers for them to carry. I had the honor of holding the backstage door for them,as they carried out their many flowers into the car. Anatoly was as proud of his wife's tribute as she was and he had such a smile on his face as he carried her flowers. This is a short video, but it has one brief rehearsal scene from Giselle with Irma Nioradze and Anton Korsakov. Plus there is a brief look at him coaching with the late, ninel Kurgapkina. Finally, we see him sitting next to his wife at the Nina Ukhova Gala, as flowers are brought to her from Ekaterina Kondaurova, Ekaterina Osmolkina and Evgeni Ivanchenko. Then the conclusion of the Ukhova Gala had a huge corps from etudes with three stars, Viktoria Tereshkina, Vladimir Shklyarov and his own pupil, the very promising and brilliant, Fillip Stepin. Nisnevich was most famous for the 1960 Leningrad film called choreographic Minaitures with choreography by ...

Anatoly K. Lyadov - prelude op11 no1

I keep finding small treasures in my collection of Lyadov music. This prelude in B minor is a not-too-difficult (apart from a few measures which made me sweat really hard!), lovely melancholic piece. I had to be a bit creative with fingering to avoid straining the left hand. (Youtube has other recordings of this piece, some of which are definitely better than mine; the one made by Marina Scalafiotti comes to mind although it has a tiny bit too much pedal to my taste). Some technical data: The piano is a yamaha gt2 digital grand piano. Sound is recorded on a boss br-600 multitrack recorder (in dry recording mode). The video is shot using a panasonic sd20 avchd camera. Image and sound was mixed together using the latest svn version of kdenlive according to more or less the same process as my other Lyadov recording.
