Das BMW Team RBM tritt 2012 mit der Empfehlung von drei Weltmeistertiteln in der DTM an. Unter der Führung von Team Manager Bart Mampaey feierte das Team aus dem belgischen Mechelen nicht nur den Titelgewinn in der Tourenwagen-Europameisterschaft 2004, sondern erwies sich auch in der WM als das Maß aller Dinge: 2005, 2006 und 2007 spielten sich nach dem letzten WTCC-Rennen in Macau Jubelszenen vor der RBM-Box ab.

Andy Priaulx, BMW Works Driver "Well I think the expectations are ambitious, but really stick. We need to be competitive, we need to be competitive and we will be competitive. I think that we have to say we have a lot of respect for our competitives, but we are extremely ambitious and I think somewhere in the middle reality will happen and I think that we need to say from our side a competitive package next year would be an amazing achievment, coming into a new championship with very little experience, but I believe we have the right guys on board to make that happen." "2012 is a long way on the calender, but not enough time for us always. We could always do more. We are really focusing now on the testing period this side of Christmas and then of course the first race. During the race weekends it is intense period of time and for sure we gonna have different challenges and we got to face different challenges over the intensity of race weekends. Testing gives us consistency and we can develop the car, make the car reliable, make the car fast, but the real test is a race weekend where you are up all against the opposition on new tires at the same time, all having the same opportunity. We are well aware that we gonna have a challenge ahead of us but I think the right people on board now can make that happen, so we gonna be OK."

Since 1992, there hasn't been a BMW DTM car. But now BMW presents the BMW M3 DTM Concept Car for the 2012 DTM season. The BMW Motorsport team also presents the first two DTM drivers for 2012 -- Andy Priaulx (GB) and Augusto Farfus (BR). What do you think about the concept car ?

The setting of the competition is the longest and most beautiful but nevertheless most dangerous racetrack, also knows as „The Green Hell". 200.000 fans build up their tents in the Eifel-woods to celebrate their heroes in more than 200 cars. Lap per lap, hour per hour, day and night. Long before the race weekend, the film sets in. For months, the engineers, mechanics and especially the eight drivers in their two BMW M3 prepare for the most important race of the year. The film crew captured extraordinary insights into the drivers' psyche and the strategy of how to win the hardest endurance race in the world. They travelled to Guernsey to visit the three-times Touring Car World Champion Andy Priaulx on his fishingboat, made some delicious pasta with Dirk Adorf while he reasoned about the race and jumped into the pool of Monaco´s harbour with Jörg Müller. An absorbing film with authentic dialogues, a cineastic language of the pictures and, as it is the nature of a race, an open ending to everyone involved, including Tim & Nick Hahne, the creators of the film.
