This is about two citizens who find themselves in the Aperture Science testing facility, and in order to escape, they have to go through a series of courses, that are death-defying. A guide by the name of Steve walks them through (sort of like GLADOS, if you've ever played Portal before, if you haven't yet, I highly reccomend you do). This is my prototype build of the ASHPD from Portal and Portal 2. It was listed on eBay so I thought it would be a good idea to shoot a video of it before it sold. The gun lights up in both Blue and Orange LEDs. There is a handle on the back with a three way switch that controls the light function, up for blue, down for orange. The gun has been on display at a local GameStop store for the past month for the launch of Portal 2. It took just under two months of design and fabrication to get it finished (working non-stop). One day I got the crazy idea to make some sort of testing facility in Minecraft to 'test the durability' of any hostile mob I wanted. And then Portal 2 and the Nickerture Mineshafts video series happened, so I figured I would make a video demonstrating its features and everything. It has 5 environments, 5 different durability tests, and 4 different mobs. And a big ass, multi-floor redstone area with shift registers and stuff. I KNOW these aren't the actual lyrics, but it does sound like something Aperture would cook up, doesn't it? (especially with the cracks at Black Mesa) I made this in LMMS (I did another video in late May that uses this same program, but that's a techno song) using an orchestrial soundfont I got from somewhere (I can't remember where exactly). The song is actually "Cara Mia" but I just set the instruments to orchestral instruments and added a few cymbal crashes here and there. The Aperture Science flag is something I made myself in Blender 2.5 (see if you can spot the not-so-well-hidden lemon). The intro kind of sucks, but the chorus sounds truly spectacular in my opinion.
