Me performing "It Was All A Dream" from my upcoming mixtape live at John F. Kennedy High School's poetry slam. LYRICS: Verse 1 Part of my life was spent down and depressed. At the age of ten, I battled with the shadow of death. I'm tryna handle this mess, I'm getting buried alive, Under a mountain of stress, its like I'm ready to die. Sometimes you feel the most pain when you love another. He spared my life, but instead he took the soul of my younger brother. Ever since he parted with life, I've been staring at the stars, tryna find a spark of light, in the dark of the night. My mind is like a labyrinth or maze, Cuz I'm always lost in thought, being trapped in a cage. People passing away, but death is like an escape, From the shackles of reality controlling your fate. I'm upholding my faith, cuz I believe in Christ, And he always teaches right, given his vision so I can see the light. Following the devils ways is very lethal. Take away the letter d from the devil, so you can see he's evil. Verse 2 I don't know the definition of trust, cuz ironically, I'm always getting stabbed in the back, right in front of me. Tryna find a bond that's beyond the common dishonesty. None of these people wanna be fond of me, they astonish me. Never trusted simple apologies, They want me to drop, and make me fall like the stocks in the economy. Fake people tryna come bring me down, Like Ricky Hatton, second round, not even Pacquiao is stoppin' me! As I'm walking slowly down to the ring ...
