Took the BMW X6M to the track for some fun--there is nothing like being under-estimated. No LAUNCH control was used in any run. Yep, we heard the comments like "who takes an SUV (in this case an SAC, sports activity coupe) to the track. As you can see, this 555hp twin turbo beast convincingly won all its races losing decisively only to the fastest Evo MR IX around. The Eclipse race was close too. Originally, I wasn't so sure about twin turbos from BMW Motorosports (I am all about the naturally-aspirated, high revving, screaming engines) but I must tell you, this beast performs very much in the tradition of BMW M. Special thanks to DL Stig, the ///M-rated race car driver! So what do you guys think of twin turbo from BMW Motorsports given that the new M5 and likely M6 are twin turbos and not NA? This time I recorded this grey BMW X6M tuned by Hamann. The V8-twinturbo engine produces 670hp and 950(!)Nm torque! 0 - 100km/h takes 4.5 seconds, 0 - 200km/t takes just 16.2 seconds. The topspeed of this monster is 300km/h! In my opinion, the front of the car looks pretty good. But the back of the car.... Yuk, damn ugly! What is your opinion? It is not sporty enough and the exhaust sound is not very good... The sound in the car when accelerating is better than the exhaust sound, it actually sounds pretty good! Mansory Switzerland has expanded its line-up of vehicles with the BMW X6 M, following the presentation of its sister model the X5 at the end of September. A bodywork, performance and interior programme has been developed for the SUV. The body kit includes a new front spoiler with larger air intakes and an extra light bonnet made entirely of carbon which, with its ventilation channels, optimises air flow to the front engine. Widened wings and newly designed side skirts give the vehicle around 70 millimetres more width at the front and 80 millimetres at the rear. At the back a newly designed skirt comes into play using an integrated diffuser which has room for four stainless steel exhaust pipes from the Mansory sports exhaust system. A roof spoiler and a rear spoiler lip complement the kit. The performance upgrade provides 670hp (493kW) and 950Nm of torque at 5900rpm. The production engine produces 555hp (408kW) and 680Nm at 1500 -- 5650rpm. The improvement is made possible by installing a new exhaust system complete with exhaust manifold and engine electronics. In a mere 4.2 seconds, the Mansory X6 makes it from a standing start to main road speed and thanks to a Vmax override reaches a top speed of 300km/h.
