Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe, LPR jest to samodzielny publiczny zakład opieki zdrowotnej podległy Ministrowi Zdrowia, wykonujący w polskim systemie opieki zdrowotnej zadania z zakresu ratownictwa medycznego i transportu sanitarnego. Obecnie LPR dysponuje 17 bazami stałymi i 1 czasową. Od roku 2010 liczba baz ma się zwiększyć - w związku z przetargiem rozstrzygniętym 10 października 2007. Firma Eurocopter, ze swoim modelem EC 135, została wybrana na dostawcę 23 maszyn i jednego symulatora lotu. Pierwsza maszyna wylądowała na lotnisku Warszawa-Babice 10 września 2009 roku. Pozostałe 22 śmigłowce mają zostać dostarczone do końca 2010 roku (pierwsze 6 w 2009 r.). Konieczność zmiany helikopterów wynika z braku certyfikatu JAR-OPS 3 dla obecnie użytkowanych śmigłowców Mi-2plus. Z uwagi na konieczność szkoleń i zapoznania z nowym sprzętem pierwsze nowe helikoptery LPR wejdą do służby (HEMS) nie wcześniej niż późną wiosną 2010. Śmigłowce LPR mają wyposażenie i obsadę podobną jak ambulans reanimacyjny (specjalistyczny). Używane często jako pomoc dla obciążonych zespołów pogotowia ratunkowego lub w przypadkach wymagających natychmiastowego transportu rannego do specjalistycznego ośrodka. Zadania ratunkowe są wykonywane przez stanowiące obecnie trzon wyposażenia śmigłowce Mi-2 plus oraz dwa śmigłowce EC 135 (Kraków), (Szczecin). Reefer Madness is an exploitation film portraying the tragic events that ensue when high school students are lured by pushers to try "marihuana": a hit and run accident, manslaughter, suicide, attempted rape, and madness. It was originally financed by a church group and made under the title Tell Your Children.
