Troop 8 is a Boy Scout Troop based out of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Ann Arbor, MI. We run a year round program with a style similar to that of NOLS. I love the Banff Mountain Film Festival. If you have the chance to see it on tour please check it out - it's an amazing compilation of the best of the best in adventure film making. That being said... at some point breathtaking vistas, extreme athletes and exotic destinations begin to loose their charm. It's time we turn back to the roots of the adventure sports movement. To the hard working visionaries pulling hard moves in obscurity just because they can. Sure they laughed at snowboarding... but look what it is today!
