BARDO - Awakening from the Dream. Part 1
www.bardo-meditation.com . BARDO, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, is a meditation method to help us incorporate a lifetime of spiritual practice into the moments of transition we call death. It helps us to chart a path through the states of consciousness as they are experienced after death. The text reminds the listener to constantly recognize that all phenomena are projections of one´s own mind. In this way it attempts to liberate the listener from clinging to old desires and beliefs of separation, which cause fear and self-protection. This encourages the meditator to merge into their original nature. The Bardo stresses that the great light we may encounter after our so-called dying, or release from the body, is actually the emanation of our own being. If you can be present and remember that you are the clear light of being, if you're able to face the light and be with it and remain in it - then liberation is possible. Danny Rivera (born February 28, 1945) is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter who was born in San Juan whose career spans nearly 50 years. He is well-known in Puerto Rico for his political activism.[citation needed] In the 1970s, Rivera had such hits as Jesucristo from Brazilian Roberto Carlos, Mi Viejo (My Old Man) from Argentinian Piero and Vecino, Dame la Mano (Neighbor, Give me Your Hand) from Puertorrican actor/composer Samuel Molina. Another of his hits at those times was "Mi Pueblo" (My People). This song went so deep into the hearts of "His People" that a group of youngsters at the San Juan Airport sung "Mi Pueblo" to him on one of his arrivals from Venezuela. Rivera sported an afro then, and he became one of the first male public figures in Puerto Rico to wear an earring. The hair and the one earring became the trademark of Danny Rivera for many years. During the 1980s, he relocated to Cayey. In 1988, he married model Alexandra Malagon, whom he later divorced. In 2001, Rivera was arrested and incarcerated for one month in a federal prison for trespassing on the military campgrounds at Vieques. He was one of the most outspoken and recognizable anti-military protesters at the height of national protests. His prison diary and poems were published in a book titled "Enamorado de la Paz" ("In Love with Peace") in 2002. He is regarded as the most popular Puerto Rican male singer of the 1950s based on record sales and live audience records. Many of Rodríguez's recordings are often considered to be classics in Puerto Rico. Rodríguez was born in the Savarona section of Caguas, the son of a sharecropper and a midwife. Bardo was a male/female pop music duo (Sally Ann Triplett and Stephen Fischer) formed to represent the United Kingdom in the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "One Step Further". Triplett, a children's TV presenter (Crackerjack), was previously a member of the UK's 1980 Eurovision act Prima Donna. Author John Kennedy O'Connor notes in his book The Eurovision Song Contest - The Official History that Triplett is one of only four singers to have represented the UK in the Eurovision contest twice, the others being Ronnie Carroll, Cliff Richard and Cheryl Baker of Bucks Fizz.[1] Fischer was a singer and actor. On the day of the contest, Bardo were rated favourites to win by Ladbrokes bookmakers and were also rated highly by Terry Wogan.[2] On the night, Bardo's performance was criticized for nerves and for placing more emphasis on the dance routines than the singing. Éppen ezért semmi sem állandó, amelyet jelen létformánkban megismerhetünk. Minden evilági dolog valamilyen módon a keletkezése és az elmúlása közötti köztes létben időzik. Minden amit ismerünk előbb-utóbb megváltozik, és átváltozásában számunkra felismerhetetlen formát ölt. Miután számos olyan létforma létezik, amelyeket mi nem tapasztalunk, úgy gondoljuk, hogy a dolgok elpusztulnak, azaz végképp megszűnnek létezni. Valójában azonban csak olyan formát öltenek, amelyet nem vagyunk képesek felfogni, vagy felismerni; ezért gondoljuk, hogy egy bizonyos dolog mindörökre elveszett. Az igazság az, hogy soha egyetlen dolgot sem birtokolhatunk.
