BELTAINE has made out its own unique sound thanks to the rare and brave skill of mixing traditional Celtic music with modern music. The Polish music group BELTAINE was created in the year of 2002. After a time of evolving and variations it shaped up into a group of seven musicians. What makes this group special is an ability to conjoin different styles of music: they successfully commix a traditional irish, scottish, breton music (also a classical indian music) with contemporary one. What's more, it's characteristic of them to use the variety of instruments. These are not only traditional ones, such as fiddle, bouzuki, mandoline, whistles, bodhran, bombard, accordion or gaita pipes but they use rare percussion instruments (such as: tabla, cajon, darabuka, djembe) and electric, bass guitar or percussion as well. / source - beltaine.pl /

We spent a wonderful day on the Hill of Uisneach taking part in the Festival of the Fires.During the day we provided Drumming, Spiritual Healing, Mediumship,Readings ,Spiritual Guidance and Shamanic Soul Integration Healing in the Holisitc Area.Later in the evening a group of our students got to drum the main procession to the summit for the lighting of the fire. What a wonderful event ,We so look forward to next year.Early the next morning we left the Hill taking with us our lamp carrying the flame of Uisneachs fire to our Sweat Lodge Ceremony.We transported it to our Schools Peace Garden at the Rainbow School of Shamanism in Glencree Valley Co Wicklow.Here we held our Beltaine fire ceremony and Sweat Lodge.As we lit the central fire from the lamp we renewed an ancient custom of Ireland.Our intention for the day was to bring hope to all of those in difficulty at this time of transition in our lands history.In June we celebrate our 9th Birthday since the establishment of our school which originally took place not far from the Hill in Athlone in 2001 Brightest Blessings of Beltaine to all www.shamanschoolireland.com
