Classic Game Room HD - BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE for Wii review

Classic Game Room HD reviews BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE for Nintendo Wii video game console. Based on the popular Cartoon Network TV show, Ben 10 is a side scrolling beat 'em up video game with a 3D style and multiple character changing gameplay elements. This CGRHD review of Ben 10 Alien Force has gameplay footage from Ben 10 Alien Force on Wii (also available on Nintendo DS), showing Spidermonkey at the Waterfall, how to use Big Chill and Jet Ray and Kevin and more. How does Ben 10 Alien Force compare to other side scroller beat em ups like Streets of Rage? Your character has an Omnitirix to change into monster or alien forms (whatever they are, I don't watch the show). This is a fun game and sells at a value price, it may not be the best video game ever made but it keeps to a relatively faithful 2D side scrolling beatem up style while adding some new elements. Plays acceptably with the Wii controller and nunchuck. You can also disable the motion controls which is what I did. Ben 10 is rated E for everyone and is clearly a kids game, but older games looking for some new games on the Wii can find enjoyment with it as well. Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and Ben 10 Alien Force fans unite because Ben 10 Protector of Earth is a surprisingly well made platformer with solid animation, cool art design and catchy music. CGRundertow BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE for Nintendo DS Video Game Review

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Ben 10: Alien Force from 1st Playable Productions and D3 Publisher for the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately, all the good things that made Ben 10: Protector of Earth such a solid game were either forgotten or ignored in Ben 10: Alien Force...chiefly, gameplay balance and good design. Like its predecessor, Ben 10: Alien Force is an action-platformer. But unlike its predecessor, it doesn't lessen the tedium inherent with the genre. Alien Force is a collection of boring levels with scarce connection to the character's basic gimmick. Where the design of the first game forced you to use all Ben 10's alien forms, the shape-shifting actually feels tacked onto this game. You can still switch forms, but it's never a focused design element. This video review features video gameplay footage of Ben 10: Alien Force for the Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek. GameSpot Player Review ivory_soul Ben 10 may not do anything original or new but it's a satisfying brawler none the less. Posted Nov 4, 2007 11:11 am PT Recommended by 3 users. Difficulty: Easy Time Spent: 10 Hours or Less "Surprisingly good" The Good: Awesome graphics and audio, lots of unlockables, great boss fights, variety of aliens to play and beat up The Bad: Short, repetitive, nothing new or original, you won't appreciate everything unless you are a fan, dry humor I have no idea what the Ben 10 cartoon is or that it even existed I just thought this was a decent brawler, and it is. The game doesn't do anything exciting, new, or even original but it does what it does very well. The graphics and audio are outstanding with crisp clear visuals and great voice work from the cartoon. Ben and his family are trying to save the world once again from the evil Enoch...or something like that. While you won't fully appreciate the game unless you're a fan of the cartoon you can still enjoy it. The game play goes along the lines of your typical button masher with combo power ups (that don't really do much) special attacks, and waves of enemies. While Ben 10 sports lots of different enemies and aliens to play as the action does get somewhat repetitive about half way through. There are a ton of extras to unlock but these are really only for fans. The game is short with about 6 hours of game play, but what's really cool are the boss fights.
