On Sunday, October 24th 2010, I went skydiving though I never had been. Just after noon on this beautiful day, I had no clue what was coming my way. I strapped on my rig, I got into the plane, asking myself "Are you totally insane?". As we climbed to the top of 10,00 feet, I was so anxious my heart nearly skipped a beat. With Dan by my side I felt somewhat ease, until we moved towards the door upon our knees. The door swung open and Dan jumped out, I was so nervous I wanted to shout. Waiting below was the beginning of my life, as Derek is hoping I'd become his wife. Falling through the clouds, hard to focus my eyes, little did I know there was a BIG surprise. When the chute opened up I was so relieved, regaining my senses I could finally breath. With a 45 foot sign to read from above, Derek on the ground about to profess his love. Sailing under canopy with my instructor Roy, the magnificent sight filled my heart with unbelievable joy. Roy said a few times "Look down to the ground", then all of a sudden I realized what I had found. The sign made of roofing paper and yellow spray paint, so hopelessly romantic I was about to faint. "Sarah Marry Me?" read from the bright blue skies, I began to tremble and tears filled up my eyes. As we came in for the landing and safely touched down, I could hear a crowd cheering from all around. There Derek was down on one knee, that's when I truly understood how happy we'd be.
