Twenty of the top percussion companies in the industry donated merchandise totaling more than $235000 in retail value for the third annual Five-Star Big Beat that occurred in 15 cities in North America on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Each participating store gave away more than $15000 worth of drum gear to participants in this exciting charity event benefiting the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and in some cities, the addition of a local charity as well. Plus, one lucky winner in one of the 15 cities will get a special Dream Theater "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" replica tour bass drum head autographed especially for this occasion by drummer Mike Portnoy and the entire band! More than 50 drummers in central Ohio participated at the Fort Hayes Career Center, led by Tom Smith, drummer for the Danger Brothers. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my biggest remix project yet. It's Hotel Mario like you've never heard it before in this original YTPMV created by yours truly. I had started the concept sometime last year, but I only recently began working more on this for the last month or two. And now, at last, it is completed. I consider this my first "real" YTPMV, and I really do think this is one of the best things I've ever created. Awesome performance by Mad Drummer, Steve Moore (with Quiet Riot drummer, Frankie Banali) at the Seattle area Woodstick Big Beat on November 7, 2010 in Kirkland, WA. The very first Woodstick Big Beat was founded in the Seattle area 8 years ago by drummer, Chris Kimball, and is hosted by Donn Bennett Drum Studio. It was Chris Kimball's idea to get a bunch of drummers together in one place to break the Guiness World Record for drummers playing one song at the same time, and to make it a fundraiser. Since then, there are Woodstick Big Beats in 15 different cities across the US and Canada which are competing against each other, as well as, helping to break another World Record each year for all of the Woodstick Big Beat events in the different cities performing together via the internet at the same time. All proceeds for the Seattle area event goes to Camp Korey in Carnation, WA for seriously ill children, and to the Mr. Holland's Opus music program to help put musical instruments into schools for children who can't afford them. Firestarter ist ein Song der englischen Big-Beat-Band The Prodigy. Er erschien am 18. März 1996 als erste Singleveröffentlichung des Albums The Fat Of The Land. Insgesamt war dies die elfte Single der Bandgeschichte. Der Song war der erste große internationale Erfolg von The Prodigy und stellte Keith Flint erstmals als punkigen Frontmann der Band in den Vordergrund. Der Track verwendet ein Sample des Stücks Cannonball der US-amerikanischen Indie-Rockband The Breeders.[1] Das in schwarz-weiß gehaltene Video wurde von Walter Stern produziert und in einer verlassenen U-Bahn-Station in Aldwych aufgenommen.
