Blackie & The Rodeo Kings "Let's Frolic" EPK
An inside look at the recording of Blackie & the Rodeo Kings upcoming release "Let's Frolic". In January 2006 Stephen Fearing, Colin Linden and Tom Wilson headed to Woodstock, NY and the Bearsville Studio to make a new B&RK album. Joined by musical friends Malcolm Burn, Garth Hudson and John Whynot they recorded 28 tracks over 14 days in ultimately what would become the last full recording session at this world famous studio. Anchored once again by the dynamic duo rhythm section of Johnny Dymond on bass, Gary Craig on drums and longtime friend and musical guru Richard Bell on keys - this epk is a treat to see how a band like Blackie and the Rodeo Keys takes an organic approach to the creation of their music. Knife Review: Blackie Collins Speed Demon Stiletto
My review of the Speed Demon Stiletto folder by United and Blackie Collins. This is a very interesting design, essentially it is a folding boot knife for those who are unable to carry a fixed blade as a boot knife. It deploys smoothly and the AUS-6 steel is no problem for its "mission." At well under $20 I think it is a solid value.

So...I got bored, and I've been on the HUGEST friggin' WASP kick lately...So I figured - why not make a video showcasing one of the most awesomely psychotic shock rock frontmen of all time? I used one of my FAVORITE WASP songs, which is - obviously - "Scream Until You Like It", which was recorded for the soundtrack to the '80s cheese-horror movie "Ghoulies II", but was also included on the album 'Live...In The Raw', which was recorded live on the 'Inside The Electric Circus' tour... For the record, I do not own Blackie Lawless, nor any other member of WASP, past or present, nor do I own anything or anyone appearing in this video. I made this fan video just for fun. :]

From 1983. Lou is running away from somebody and Blackie, who found her, is helping her stay hidden. Blackie takes her home so she can get cleaned up. Amy comes home early though and Blackie begins to panic but not for long. He devises a way to get Lou out of the house. I just loved the way Blackie and Amy spar. And Blackie and Lou were so funny together. I had to re-upload this since I had originally put up a out of sequence edited clip.

Eric Clapton Blackie Strat Demo ("Mountain Spruce")
Giving a little demonstration of what the Fender Artist Series Eric Clapton "Blackie" Stratocaster sounds like. Picked this up at Guitar Center for a trial run (it is missed!) and it was the best fit for 'my sound.' It's different than most Strats because the first tone knob is essentially a master tone with a TBX circuit, which achieves a wider EQ range than standard Delta Tone, and the second tone knob controls a midrange boost, which really compliments the combination of the noiseless pickups and the maple fretboard's bright tone. Guitar on Musician's Friend: guitars.musiciansfriend.com ----------------------------------------- Technical Stuff: The Strat was run clean through a PreSonus FireStudio Project into Mixcraft 5. I used Guitar Rig 4 for the respective effects. The playing was filmed with a Panasonic HDC-SD100, which was compiled in Sony Vegas 9, where I used multicamera editing and adjusted the levels and saturation. Background (Intro and Concluding) Loop: BOSS DD-20 Reverse Delay with mix & feedback at 10 and tone at 5. Bass: neck pickup, mid boost at 7; -12 semitones (1 octave); minor studio reverb; EQ shelving to cut mids & highs Rhythm: neck pickup, mid boost at 5; studio reverb, room size max; EQ shelving to boost mid Lead: mid pickup, mid boost at 7; 2x12 cabinet with dynamic 57, bass cut and treble boosted; studio reverb, very bright; delay man at 344ms, feedback at 6, mix at 4. Drums: FL Studio 9's FPC with PExport Pack (soft drumming on ride & closing <b>...</b>
