I've been on vacation in Boa Vista and I bought this pictures. I stayed in the Riu Karamboa hotel, a very nice hotel with kindly people. I puted some of my own pictures in this video too 1:20 - 1:45, I'm the boy in the dark blue shirt and the cap ^^. I choose this music because they used it in the Riu Karambora too. Edge Watersports Trip to Boa Vista Nov 08
The island of Boa Vista is still a secret - only in 2007 did it get an international airport. It is one of 10 Cape Verde islands that lie off the west coast of Africa and from Nov- May are in the North east trade wind belt. This allows constant wind which varies from strong 9m weather through to lighter 14m weather. Water temperatures are around 22 degrees so boardies or a shorty wetsuit are all that is needed. In Nov 08 the Edge team hit the island somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic, a few miles off the west coast of Africa with 400 kilos of excess luggage and 15 kitesurfers who all came back with an experience they will never forget!!
