Midnight Rhapsody (by Melody Bober) ***All copyrights reserved to original/rightful singer/songwriter/artist/music production companies. No copyright infringement intended*** The Prince has come, and the Ball awaits And all the girls in pretty dresses, arriving with their dates The pumpkin turns, and the carriage does appear And the mice into men who will draw the carriage near Pretty ball gowns, pretty hair All for dates whom so will stare And she does alas arrive and shows up late Perhaps unsure if she belongs....and thus she hesitates The pretty ball gown, the pretty hair Is but a countenance that she does not care For inside she is but so plain and simple, if anyone would really see that is not the pretty ball gowns and pretty hair that delights her with such glee But rather-in the comforts of a simple attire and plain straight hair Which she seeks comforts in, if anyone would be so fair To listen and not see And let her be...who she really wants to be And such, the clock will strike 12 soon, and the Ball will be done And she'd think it wouldn't be half bad, to leave her slipper and just run Back to where she belongs and being who she is...so free Of all the exterior curtains that masks..in this MIDNIGHT RHAPSODY ...heartBtrue
