To complete this How-To you will need: Water A pot with a lid A stove top Step 1: Choose pot Choose a pot with a greater volume than the amount of water you plan to boil. Do so in private, so nobody's there to say, "Uh, duh." Step 2: Pour water Pour fresh, cold tap water into the pot. Make sure there's at least 3 inches of space between the rim of the pot and the surface of the water. Tip: If you're boiling water to cook with (and not just for fun) you'll be adding something to it, so be sure to leave enough room for whatever you're cooking, too. Step 3: Place pot on burner Turn the burner to high, place the pot on the burner, and cover the pot with a lid that fits snugly. This keeps in the heat and helps the water boil faster. Styling Synthetic Hair: Boiling Water
This is just one of the many many different ways to use boiling water to style synthetic hair. I'll cover some of those different ways that do and don't involve water later on in different videos.. ;) There are a lot of different types of synthetic wigs/extensions out there. Styling it this way is mainly for non-heat resistant hair, or synthetic fibers that are mixed with human hair. BUT you can still use it for high-heat resistant, and human hair pieces too!! Like I mention in the video, if you aren't doing this for a wig and are just using this for extensions, or a hair piece you can just put a cup of water in the microwave until it's nice and hot. Once the water is hot enough dip the hair in the cup for a few seconds, and follow the same steps for drying/styling. How long you leave the cup in your microwave depends on the microwave itself, but 5 minutes usually works. Boiling Water Reactor (BWR)
Type of nuclear reactors operated at a Japanese NPP Fukushima 1 - Boiling Water Reactor (BWR)). In such a reactor, water is used as a coolant. The water pressure in the reactor vessel - about 70 atmospheres, at this pressure water boils at a temperature where 280 C. In case of accidents in a similar type of reactor is a system to pressure compression of steam in the reactor containment. Containment is divided into two sections - the "drywell" - which houses the reactor, and "wetwell" - the chamber with a pool for cooling the steam. If the pressure steam in a "drywell" is greatly increased, the steam enters the pool, where condensation occurs, cooling and cleaning a couple of radioactive aerosols due to rinsing. In critical situations, to reduce the pressure of the steam released from the chamber with a pool in the building where the reactor is located. Such measures have been taken at the NPP Fukushima 1. However, hydrogen in the steam exploded in the Units.
