Oingo Boingo - Nothing Bad Ever Happens To Me

Oingo Boingo's Music video for Nothing Bad Ever Happens To Me. This video seems to get comments on the fact that he dances like a spaz. He does. The reason he dances like that though is because that was one way people danced in the 80s. I've been given multiple demonstrations displaying this.
Oingo Boingo on the Gong Show

The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo on the Gong Show. This was seen originally in 1976. This little treasure had been sitting on my shelf for years. I figured all old time Boingo fans may enjoy this. I still have about 25 stubs from all the Boingo concerts I saw, and never missed the annual Halloween show. I grew up in the 80's blasting Boingo music while driving my car. Richard Elfman is in the rocket, and Danny is playing the Trombone. Thanks Oingo Boingo for all the years of great music, there was nothing like it on earth! Mark.

*FORYOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY* What is the openVAULT you ask? It's quite simple. Music that for lack of a better analogy, has been locked away from the general public. What has happened to the musical landscape is sickening. Far too many artists go largely unnoticed. We are here to change that. To drive the point home, this will not be some "best of" list aka Rolling Stone. No "Stairway", no "Walrus", just music that should be heard. Here at openVAULT you're going to be forced off the beaten path more often than not. It'll be good for you, trust us. Every song you will hear is from our private collection, so please NO copying, downloading or reproducing these videos in any form for this is strictly prohibited. You know as in illegal, a no-no. As stated before these tunes are FOR YOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY! We won't sell, trade, or give up any mp3s, so if you're here for that purpose please step aside, you're blocking the view of others.
Oingo Boingo - Only a Lad

Oingo Boingo!!! xP Johnny was bad, even as a child everybody could tell Everyone said if you don't get straight You'll surely go to hell But Johnny didn't care He was an outlaw by the time that he was Ten years old He didn't wanna do what he was told Just a prankster, juvenile gangster His teachers didn't understand They kicked him out of school At a tender early age Just because he didn't want to learn things (Had other interests) He liked to burn things The lady down the block She had a radio that Johnny wanted oh so bad So he took it the first chance he had Then he shot her in the leg And this is what she said Only a lad You really can't blame him Only a lad Society made him Only a lad He's our responsibility Only a lad He really couldn't help it Only a lad He didn't want to do it Only a lad He's underprivileged and abused Perhaps a little bit confused His parents gave up they couldn't influence his attitude Nobody could help The little man had no gratitude And when he stole the car Nobody dreamed that he would Try to take it so far He didn't mean to hit the poor man Who had to go and die It made the judge cry It's not his fault that he can't believe It's not his fault that he can't behave Society made him go astray Perhaps if we're nice he'll go away Perhaps he'll go away He'll go away Hey there Johnny you really don't fool me You get away with murder And you think it's funny You don't give a damn if we live or if we die Hey there Johnny boy I hope you fry!

Oingo Boingo - Weird Science

1985) For most of the 80's Oingo Boingo was to LA and Orange County what the Grateful Dead was to San Francisco. Oingo Boingo developed the kind of fan following that made every appearance an event. They were "our band", and we believed they knew and appreciated our enthusiasm. If you must compare them to any other groups, I think Madness would come close; Not so much for musical styling as for their composition. Both groups were mini-orchestras, and to see them on stage was to behold brilliant chaos. Musically, they were one of a kind. Sonically bright and cheerful, lyrically questioning and slightly morbid, they were at the forefront of what became known as New Wave. To those who are not familiar with their songs, they can be intimidating and strange (think Sparks, if you're familiar with them). Their most accessible songs are Dead Man's Party, Weird Science and I Love Little Girls: listen to these a couple of times and the rest of their catalog will come easier. SoCal remembers our house band, and we miss them very, very much.

Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo - Finale

This is the end, dear The time of night when we delight in turning in But, please remember It's not goodbye, but just until we meet again Until this evening I sat there dreaming Now I see you so clearly And all my dreams come true As I sing to you Lalalala lalalalalala I say it's...

"Grey Matter"-Oingo Boingo live video footage from US Festival

Live video footage from Oingo Boingo's 1983 concert at the US Festival. One of my favorites from this concert. Here I thought Danny would be unable to dance around since he had to stay still to play the rumba-phone, but boy was I wrong. He has made moving around as much as possible while standing in just one location into an art form. For those who want to watch the concert in order... Setlist: 1. Cry Of The Vatos 2. Oingo Boingo - Little Girls

Only a Lad is the full-length debut album by Oingo Boingo, following their self-titled EP. The album's musical arrangements, by vocalist Danny Elfman and guitarist Steve Bartek, complete the group's switch from cabaret act to New Wave band (see Oingo Boingo - The Mystic Knights Years). Only a Lad features complex and frequently changing time signatures and keys, often incorporating harmonies borrowed from jazz and 20-century classical music, all hallmarks of Elfman's songwriting. The album's success was somewhat limited, but, largely due to the backing of Los Angeles radio station KROQ, the album established Oingo Boingo as a permanent fixture in the Southern California music scene. The National Review Online called "Capitalism" one of the "50 greatest conservative rock songs."[1] "Only a Lad" is a playable track on the PlayStation 2 video game Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s. On the cover of the album, if one looks closely at Johnny's (the "Lad's") shirt, one would see the image of the cat drawn by Louis Wain that appeared on the cover of the Oingo Boingo EP. "Cry Of The Vatos"-Oingo Boingo live video footage at US Festival

Yes, people. LIVE VIDEO footage, not audio. Finally, I can give you guys videos, haha. Took me long enough to figure it out and to upload it. It took a freakishly long time to upload this one song. Anyway, back to the video itself....This is Oingo Bingo's performance at the 1983 US Festival. It was over a hundred degrees all three days of the concert, which is why poor Danny is completely soaked through even before he sets a foot on stage. And yet he still has the energy to dance around the whole concert! I Love it! Oh, and a HUGE thank you to Despina for putting up with all of my technical questions due to my inexperience with uploading videos. Despina, you rock! For those of you who want to watch this concert in order, here is the setlist which I will post in each video (once uploaded): 1.Cry Of The Vatos 2. Dead Or Alive 3. Ain't This The Life 4.
