Brentford's amazing comeback vs MK Dons - 31st Dec 2011 ... 3 nil down half time ... 3-3 full time

Once again, Brentford fail to impress at home as they looked clueless as they went 3 nil down to a decent MK Dons football team. Two quick goals sees the Bees 2 nil down within the first 6 minutes. And Ex-Brentford striker Charlie McDonald makes it three before half time. But if ever there was a game of two halves, this was one. Three inspired substitutions in the second half saw Brentford up the tempo .. and up their game. Taking the game to MK Dons. Substitute Clayton Donaldson knocking the ball on for Gary Alexander to poach a goal and it was game on. A handball which was missed by the referee AND MK Dons manager Karl Robinson (whos post-match comments have made him the new "Stimpson" in the Brentford camp) but was spotted by everyone on the Ealing Road terrace AND the linesman resulted in a penalty which was converted by Alexander who showed everyone he was completely potty for it. Then just to add to Robinson and the 400 away fans' misery, last minute goalscoring centre back Leon Legg popped up once again to bring the scores level resulting in chants of "Its all your fault" directed at goalkeeper Martin by the Ealing Road massive. A good comeback. Good passion in the 2nd half. We're still just off the playoffs. But Brentford fans know the side needs a few more additions in the January break to really give us a chance of nabbing that final playoff place.
