KIM BURSE - Music Creative Director/Composer/Writer/A&R

BIO Ms. Burse has been in the entertainment industry for 16 years. Kim started her career at Motown Records in sales, tracking all of the Southeast Region and later to MCA, where you found her spearheading the promotions and marketing department as the National Coordinator in radio and retail. After five years with MCA Records. Kim successfully climbed the ladder and became A&R Manager at Sony Music in 1993. At Sony, Ms. Burse was instrumental in the careers of such acts as; Dionne Farris, Da Brat, Xscape, and the one and only Destiny's Child. After being with Sony, Ms, Burse later decided to bring it back home to Atlanta and independently shopped new talent for various labels. In 2001, Matthew Knowles of Music World Music reunited with Kim at a Music Conference and offered her a position that one could not refuse. Within a few weeks Kim was in Houston, TX at Music World Music as Creative A&R Director where she developed and managed the department. Kim Burse has help create, produce and market over 10 albums throughout her career. These albums have generated over $100 million in revenue for such companies as Motown, MCA, Sony and Columbia Records. A variety of these projects have surpassed the "Gold" 500000 and "Platinum" 1000000 sales levels and earned industry recognition through Grammy Awards, Soul Train Awards, BET Awards or the local pub awards.
