Yup, my next little "mini-series" in between my challenges will be me playing the Wily Tower from MegaMan: The Wily Wars, although I'm playing RockMan Megaworld, which is the Japanese version since the PAL version has slower music for some reason. To get Wily Tower selectable from the games to play, all you need to do is beat MegaMan 1-3. After you beat all three, Wily Tower will appear as a choice to play. There are only 3 bosses and then Wily's Castle, but the fact that you can choose any combination of up to 8 weapons and 3 items from all three MegaMan games makes the replay value astonishing. Wily Tower also has some of my favorite stages in all of MegaMan. They look and sound beautifuly in my opinion. First up is Buster Rod-G, who's actually the more difficult of the three. His AI goes in a very strict pattern. First he uses the forward Bo thrust I'm guessing like, 7 times, then just sits there for about 5 seconds. When he stands there, he deflects ANYTHING (at least what I tried) used at him. When he uses his Bo thrust attack, the attack also deflects attacks as well. After standing for a while, he jumps up and uses Bo thrusts some more while in the air. He then lands, stands there (while deflecting, mind you) then jumps up and releses copies of himself to jump across the arena. Only one copy is real, and only it can be hit, weather it be on one side, the other, or even jumping across! He then stands there and repeats the pattern. He cannot be killed, because he <b>...</b>

Let's start the Wily Tower minigame with a bit of monkey magic. Commentary: 0:13 - Wily Tower is now an option. Select it to get things rolling. 0:53 - Wily's trash talk is more humorous than intimidating. Anyways, there's 3 robot masters, followed by a Castle stage. The three masters are based upon the classical novel Journey to the West, and the order does not matter. 1:07 - This is the real awesome part of Wily Tower...you get to pick ANY 8 weapons you want! You also get to pick 3 items. Customize your own personal arsenal. Most bosses are weak to several weapons, so it's hard to pick a bad combo unless you try. I take Thunder Beam (strong, multidirectional), Metal Blade (frikkin' DUH), Crash Bombs (blow up walls), Hard Knuckle (blow up walls, very strong weapon), Air Shooter (to get around a weakness), Fire Storm (great all-around weapon), Ice Slasher (freezes enemies, also a weakness weapon later on), and Search Snake (crawls on walls). Magnet Beam, Rush Jet, and Rush Coil are the pick of the items, though Item-1 isn't bad either. 2:01 - The stages are original, but incorporate enemies and level designs from the first 3 Megaman games. 4:01 - There's always room for a bit of experimentation. The weapons have been semi-balanced here in how they do damage to enemies not in their games. The Thunder Beam, for example, will kill most MM1 enemies in one hit, but does very little to MM2 and MM3 enemies. 5:07 - They like to hide the E-Tanks behind destroyable walls, so taking <b>...</b>

A rematch with the Monkey King! Commentary: 0:32 - Rush Jet just says "Screw you!" to all these tough platforming segments. Bless it. 1:35 - Eh, I don't need them. 1:52 - I decide not to take the wall-breaking path this time. 2:33 - I apparently broke the magnet there with the Thunder Beam. Huh. I have no idea if that works on the ones in Magnetman's stage. Experiment with your Spark Shocks and find out, kids! 2:46 - The paths meet up here. 3:57 - It's Buster Rod-G again, this time without his staff. And the floor is falling! He fires at you while scampering from side to side as things go down. Luckily he's still very weak to the Hard Knuckle, I actually have to hold back so I can show he actually DOES something in this fight. Rolling Cutter and Air Shooter still work too.

The Lancasters were organized into three groups. Formation 1 was to attack the Moehne and after that, aircraft still with bombs would attack the Eder. Formation 2 was to attack the Sorpe. The third group was a mobile reserve, it would take off two hours later and bomb as directed, either attacking the main dams or bombing smaller dams at Schwelm, Ennepe and Diemel.
