Laptop works, no crashing or issues except for hinge is broken. Screen stays in place, but I don't recommend closing the lid. I haven't checked the battery life, but rest assured that it won't last very long off the plug. I recommend this laptop for someone that needs legacy support for printers and serial connections or for a writer (novelist). This is not an ideal laptop for anything other than email, instant messaging, browing the internet and facebook. Youtube does an "Okay" job, but it struggles a little.
