A review of My very first bike, A new Honda CBF125 M9 in Space Silver Metallic. Bought brand new in late 2008 early 2009, running on a 58 plate reg. Passed my test on this bike and never had any problems with it. Used every day since I bought it and had covered just over 7800 miles when I sold it. Great bike for learners or communters alike, still very capable of touring on, did a wee trip from Glasgow to Glencoe in one day and back with a full tank of petrol (£10 worth) Just over 250 miles (Brilliant) Would Highly recommend to anyone :) Good points: Cheap to run and Insure Looks big for a 125cc bike Value for your money Everything you want for your first bike or commuting and more... CBF 125 Top Speed with 15 teeth
Although is sunny it can be seen. This is my top speed with Arrow exhaust and with a 15 teeth front sprocket (original is 16 teeth), that means now I have more acceleration and less top speed. Top speed in the video was around 122 km/h, the camera in the helmet gives a lot of air resistance (that's why my head is turned to the left, the camera is in the left, and that's why i never went to fast when i made the test drive to the Hornet) so the top speed should be around 126 km/h. With 16 teeth it should be around 130 km/h. There was also some wind, but it shouldn't make much difference. Yes, no protective gear, that's my problem, this is not the UK it's 36º in here and it was just for this short shooting!

Moi, quand j'ai "zété" petit, mon rêve à moi, c'est "zété" de faire Soichiro Honda comme métier. Pour construire des motos cultes comme la Honda 750 Four, et ruiner ... sans faire exprès, l'industrie moto européenne, Triumph et Norton en tête. Seulement voilà, comme j'ai "zété" pas doué, moi, je "fézé" rien que des bouses en pâte à modeler. Alors j'ai bien travaillé à l'école pour plutôt "fézé" journaliste comme métier et avoir accès à tous mes caprices.

Nurburgring Nordschleife on a CBF 500
Lap of the Nurburgring on my little CBF 500 on Michelin Pilot Road 2 tyres with Arrow Slip on muffler. The camera couldn't record the whole lap but my final time was about 10min30sec. The bike held up really well but it definitely doesn't have enough power for the track. It doesn't show in the video but it did push it hard. Felt the front tyre sliding seriously in one corner. These touring tyres hold up pretty well, as long as you're gentle. But 52hp is always gentle. :)

CBF 125 - Custom LED clocks
Now that i have finished my DC system i can finally use LED's on the clocks illumination. I have used the same ones of the last time (25 SMD pure white LED), but since it was working with AC, of the 50 SMD more that 35 where burned... A Small note, usually the clock illumination would only go on when the engine would be turned on, but now they are connected to my DC system so they turn on when i switch the key and go off for a moment when i start the engine, just like a normal car would do.
