Several modes of gameplay including classic arcade shooting, survival and storyline await gunners looking to waste some furry friends like doom wolves, death hyenas and rotten out-for-no-good lions. This CGR review of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 has gameplay from Cabelas Dangerous Hunts 2011 on Playstation 3 PS3 played with the Cabela's Top Shot Elite assault rifle peripheral for PS3. Game play is fast and responsive on Playstation 3 with the Top Shot Elite. Also available for Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. While the storyline mode in Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 suffers from awkward controls on the Top Shot Elite or PS Move the shooting gallery and survival modes are rad and pack some real gameplay into the hunting video game package.

Adventuring around the country testing the mostly excellent Cabela's TCS™ Ghillie coverall in Mossy Oak™ Brush pattern, followed by a "door top" review. From Florida to Kentucky to California to Idaho, the video shows its use in a variety of foliage. It is an excellent ghillie options with a lot of upsides: super lightweight, compactable, breathable, sized large for underneath gear wear (even a tac vest works), good patterns, excellent hood, easy on and off, slant pockets, and relatively affordable (compared to many other ready made ghillie options). But it definitely is not perfect. A significant downside of the TCS™ Ghillie is the use of lightweight 100% cotton fabric strips for the camouflaging. They will shred in rough brush, will probably fade in use, and most importantly lack double-side camo printing. The lack of this reverse side camo creates a problem after the coverall has been packed up tightly then used: the fabric strips, bent from the storage, will reveal a non-camo lighter side that may diminish the suits effectiveness (depending upon terrain). These strips should be upgraded to 100% polyester fabric that is double-printed (by Cabela's). That would increase durability and resistance to rough use. However the current cotton fabric does a good job mimicking natural foliage as it moves with the wind and it does effectively break up the human form. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii is the first game to utilize the all-new TOP SHOT ELITE hunting controller, developed by the team at Activision that created the guitar controllers for the Guitar Hero series. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions operate with wireless technology and include a sensor bar and high-sensitivity camera, while the Wii version integrates the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The scope includes a red lens filter that gives players a different perspective on the environment, exposing hidden animal tracks and blood trails. The TOP SHOT ELITE also features pump-action reload and an adjustable stock to fit gamers of all sizes. The game tells the story of Cole Rainsford, who has joined his estranged father on an African safari to hunt savage animals that have been terrorizing remote villages. The player's survival depends on their cunning instinct and expert skill to make it out alive.
