Well, I listened to the sound in the intro to Cannon Fodder for the Game Boy Color, and I noticed the audio was way off. In the comments section, a Youtuber had posted how to get the audio to sound right. I did so, and voila, it's restored. What I did here was open the ROM up in my audio editor as an unsigned 8-bit mono PCM file, at 5000 Hz. The Youtuber said 4000, but it sounded off. Hats off to the user, by the way! I couldn't get the video and audio to sync as well as I wanted to, but I swear this is the exact same audio that's in the ROM. An idea was that the Game Boy Advance emulators create a "buzzing" noise for Game Boy Color audio in PCM format. I think that's wrong, as in KiGB has the same buzzing noise. Another theory is that the Game Boy is spending all it's resources on decoding the video, so the audio quality degrades. This issue, obviously, is not here, as the audio editor only processed the audio. Thumbs up for audio restoration!
