This is a video tutorial of installation of the Macht Schnell N54 Catless Track Downpipes. Stock downpipes cause a major restriction in exhaust flow coupled with their small 57mm (2.25″) pipe diameter and numerous crush-bends with factory pre-cats squeezed in engine compartment. This results in excessive backpressure and excessive heat, which ultimately affects overall performance at all RPM loads. 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP with catless Hogan downpipe & open cutout located just before the Y-split for the rear mufflers. Pavement was more moist than I thought which is why I let off when & then bounced off the limiter in 1st gear when I first took off. The exhaust note is too raspy...I'll be getting some sort of bullet muffler for it soon. Maybe a Borla XR1.

Running a Corksport Turboback exhaust with absolutely no cats. Sounds sick as hell and even better driving. Throatier than stock but I love it. For the turbo seals oil leak problem Im running 5w-40 oil and have the Ptp pill fix. Still minor oil coming out but nothing too bad if you're a noob do not get the downpipe as it is harder than hell to get the factory DP off just deal with taking the race-pipe off as it isnt too difficult.

check out my other videos for better bov sound clips. some revs and short pulls. i couldnt rev too high in the parking lot the security was patrolling around. highest was at 4k rpm's. polyurathane exhaust hangers works really well id highly recommand for anyone with aftermarket exhausts! my exhaust used to rattle SO MUCH after i put on stiffer hangers it stopped the rattling. the short pulls were done a few weeks back right after a snow storm i took out the clips where the car had no traction lol. thanks for looking.

Long story short, I was tired of being pestered by "the man" about loud exhaust. I added a second muffler to my cat-back but it was just too quiet and restrictive at that point. Simple solution: electric cutout! The truck is full bolt ons, comp cams 224/230 114lsa cam, RPM level 6 4L70, VIG 3600 stall, tons of suspension. Has gone 12.53@ 106 with just bolt ons.
