song name: "chinar es" (you're tall) Armenian classical/folk song composed by: Komitas (1869 - 1935) performed by: Mister X further information: Komitas Vartapet "Soghomon Soghomonyan" was born in 1869 and died in 1935. He was an Armenian priest, composer, choir leader, singer, music ethnologist, music pedagogue and musicologist. He is the founder of modern Armenian classical music. Unfortunately he witnessed the Armenian genocide in 1915 till 1918, which caused him to become mentally ill for the last 20 years of his life. During these years he remained silent and never composed again. "Mister X" is an Armenian pop singer. He sings in many languages: Armenain, Spanish, English, Italian, Russian... but he can mainly be considered as Spanish songs' singer. His Spanish songs are recommended for Spanish music lovers.

Kashmir: Expression/Camera Workshop: LC + CHINAR
Animation filmed by and starring the children of CHINAR I am currently in Kashmir to continue with the Lollipops Crown (Fulbright) film and music workshops for orphans at CHINAR organization. The LC initiative was founded under my Fulbright project with street children in Morocco (with the associations Dar Lekbira, Daran, and Al Wafa). The LC initiative, seeks to empower disadvantaged through expression in film, music, story writing, and animation. The workshops aim to enhance confidence, expression, tech skills, cooperation, patience. The workshops also serve to enhance cross cultural understanding and exchange between America and disadvantaged communities abroad.
