The Gambino crime family is one of the "Five Families" that control organized crime activity in New York City. It is a part of the United States-wide criminal network known as the Mafia. The group is named after Carlo Gambino, boss of the family at the time of the McClellan hearings in 1963 when the structure of organized crime first gained public attention. The group's operations extend from New York and the eastern seaboard to California. Its illicit activities include labor and construction racketeering, gambling, loansharking, extortion, money laundering, prostitution, dumping violations, construction, building and cement violations, fraud and wire fraud, hijacking, pier thefts, and fencing. The rise of what for a time was the most powerful crime family in America began in 1957, the day Albert Anastasia was assassinated while sitting in a barber chair at the Park-Sheraton Hotel in Manhattan. Experts believe Carlo Gambino helped orchestrate the hit to take over the family. Gambino partnered with Meyer Lansky to control gambling interests in Cuba. The family's fortunes grew through 1976, when Gambino appointed his brother-in-law, Paul Castellano, as boss. HBO Cinema Vérité The Making Of An American Family Before there was JWoww, Snooki, or "the Situation", Housewives of [fill in the city of your choice], The Hills, or The Kardashians, there was the Loud family of Santa Barbara California, aka "An American Family". In 1973, independent filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond, producers Craig Gilbert, Eduardo Garcia, and PBS/WNETNY, introduced Pat and Bill Loud and their children Lance, Delilah, Kevin, Grant, and Michele to the nation and the world. The Raymonds categorize the work as a documentary, but fans, scholars, and critics deem it to be the first reality series. From May to December 1971, 300+ hrs of 16mm film were shot, then edited down to 12hrs. More than 10 million viewers tuned in. In 1983 HBO aired An American Family Revisited: The Louds 10 Years Later. Eldest son Lance was the most dynamic and controversial of the Louds---he came out during the show. Even though it did not originate on the show, the expression 'out loud and proud' always reminds me of Lance. PBS and the Raymonds reunited with him in 2001 for Lance Loud: A Death In An American Family. Terminally ill at the time, Lance had been a meth addict for 20yrs, was HIV positive, and diagnosed with hepatitis C. Lance died when he was 50. Nearly 30yrs after the original airing of An American Family, there is HBO's Cinema Vérité The Making Of An American Family. Literally a mile in musician/actor Harris Lemberg's shoes. Director Tim consequence takes the viewer on a cinematic tour of Madison, Wisconsin's colorful east side Williamson street neighborhood. Shot using a 24p Panasonic AG-DVX100B camera on January 22, 2010. The supporting actors were cast on set during shooting. There was no script. I was late jumping on The White Stripes bandwagon. But, when I heard "Doorbell" a few years back I became an instant fan. That raw, classic sound was so fresh to me. I went straight to iTunes and downloaded the whole album. It wasn't long before I owned everything they'd ever released. What really got me was that I wanted to sample almost every song. But, I couldn't just shamelessly sample their whole catalog. Plus, I had just decided to move away from sampling and focus on writing original music. So, a remix project seemed like the thing to do, and the idea was born. I started digging through my collection and fitting all the pieces together. My goal was to use only samples from The White Stripes and a cappellas from classic songs and my favorite emcees. And of course, I had to rap on one of the tracks myself, with my man Brian Jacobs on the hook. So there it is, hip-hop fans, meet The White Stripes. Fans of The White Stripes, meet hip-hop. Silent Hill Downpour: Cinema Verite Side Quest (Cutting Room Floor Achievement)
I apologize for how it looks like I didn't know what I was doing...I actually didn't and it was my first time playing through that area. This will be your first side quest in the new area of Silent Hill called Chastain Heights. Before you head inside the theater, head through the alley South of the theater. Go along the road that curves up and left. Follow it until the dead end. The door with the light above it is a hardware store. Inside is a shotgun and the bulb you need for the quest. Now that you are prepared, head inside the theater. Film Reel 1 --- The House on the Lake: As soon as you enter the theater, go behind the concession stand on your left and there is a back room with this reel. Film Reel 2 --- The Silent Children: Continue on until you get to the movie screen area. Facing the chairs, look at the 2nd to last row on the left side. Film Reel 3 --- The Secret of the Attic: Now to go the room that's on the right side of the area. Go up the stairs, past the projector, and in the back room is the last reel. Spliced Reel: You can skip part of the quest by just entering in the code 9241 on keypad by the door (near the projector). Splice the films together to make one. Now what you must do is use the light bulb you got from the hardware store to fix the projector. Now play the film, and run down to the screen and enter it. Go along the sidewalk and into the house. Pass the stairs and open the door to your left. In the room is a crank on the window. Exit and go <b>...</b>

Cinéma Vérité is a style of documentary filmmaking, combining naturalistic techniques with stylized cinematic devices of editing and camerawork, staged set-ups, and the use of the camera to provoke subjects. In French the term means, roughly, "cinema of truth". This video was up on Facebook the same day it was shot and the song is "Little Person" performed by Deanna Storey, co-written by Jon Brion and Charlie Kauffman, from the movie Synecdoche, New York. I had not seen the young lady at the end of this video in 4 years, and she did not know she was going to be filmed. Her name is Verity.
