CORMAN'S WORLD - Trailer

CORMAN'S WORLD: EXPLOITS OF A HOLLYWOOD REBEL is a tantalizing and star-studded tribute to Roger Corman, Hollywood's most prolific writer-director producer, and seminal influencing force in modern moviemaking over the last 60 years. Featuring interviews with Hollywood icons and cinematic luminaries, some who launched their careers within Corman's unforgettable world of filmmaking, including Paul WS Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Robert De Niro, Peter Fonda, Pam Grier, Ron Howard, Eli Roth, Martin Scorsese, William Shatner and Jack Nicholson, along with many others, this documentary chronicles how Corman created his cult film empire, one low-budget success at a time, capitalizing on undiscovered talent, and pushing the boundaries of independent filmmaking. Director Alex Stapleton weaves archival footage following Roger's illustrious career: From his early days of genre-defining classics including the original Fast and Furious, the original Little Shop of Horrors, The Crybaby Killer, The Intruder, House of Usher, and The Wild Angels (which at that point in 1966 was his 100th film) - to present day video of him and his wife Julie on location, still at work as they continue to produce and distribute films outside the studio system: fast, cheap and out-of-this-world!

Roger Corman rejects the moniker "King of B Movies", preferring instead to be thought of as the most fiscally responsible producer working today. He shot the original "Little Shop of Horrors" in just 2 days. He is recognized for his stellar track record of giving that first 'big break' to future film superstars--- such as directors Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and James Cameron; and actors like Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Robert De Niro. Corman is credited with producing nearly 400 films, including Death Race 2000, Frankenstein Unbound & Sharktopus. Trailer: Battle Beyond the Sun (Roger Corman)

Delightfully trippy, campy trailer for one of the strangest classic-era SF movies you'll ever see, Battle Beyond the Sun by Roger Corman and Francis Ford Copolla. the entire film used dubbed footage from a Soviet SF film, Nebo Zovyot. Except for the scenes of the monsters, shown more clearly in this trailer than in the film itself. You have to check out the monsters. One can only surmise their resemblance to human male and female genetailia was deliberate camp. When are civilization is dust, post-human archeologists will spend lifetimes trying to figure this shit out. That such things existed are the ultimate homage to the American drive-in phenomenon and everything it once meant to the American culture, lifestyle, psychology and economy.

Roger Corman Presents. . DINOCROC vs. SUPERGATOR -- DVD trailer

ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT AND ROGER CORMAN PRESENT DINOCROC VS. SUPERGATOR The Showdown Begins July 12th on Blu-ray™ and DVD Monster smackdowns are as old as the movies themselves. Frankenstein vs. The Wolf Man. Godzilla vs. King Kong. Billy the Kid vs. Dracula. Freddy vs. Jason. But now Anchor Bay Entertainment proudly unleashes the ultimate Monster (S)Mash: Dinocroc Vs. Supergator, from Oscar®-winning executive producer Roger Corman. Dinocroc Vs. Supergator reunited Corman with cult star David Carradine (Death Race 2000, Kill Bill), in one of his final performances. Scientist Jason Drake (Carradine) has been holed up deep within a secret island laboratory of an unscrupulous biotech corporation. Doing what? Meddling with the laws of nature, of course! When he turns his attention from mutating fruits and vegetables to alligators, crocodiles and dinosaurs, something's bound to grow to horrific proportions -- and escape! Now, two of his most terrifying creations are loose on a tropical island paradise. Bullets won't stop them. Explosives only tick them off. And their ravenous appetite for scientists, tourists, mercenaries and swimsuit models keeps growing. In pursuit of the scaly beasts are an undercover investigator (Corey Landis), a sexy Fish & Game officer (Amy Rasimas), and a cold-blooded swamp hunter known only as "The Cajun" (Rib Hillis). But how can they stop two forces of perverted science that can outrun SUVs, crush buses, and snack on sleazy producers in hot tubs ...

Remembering "The Intruder"

Roger Corman and William Shatner talk about their experience making The Intruder, often hailed as Corman's best film. Corman is commonly known as a prolific director of B-movies like the original Little Shop of Horrors, but "The Intruder" was an attempt to make a "legitimate" film with serious social commentary. It was one of Shatner's first starring film roles. Excerpted from Wikipedia: The Intruder is a 1962 American film directed by Roger Corman, after a novel by Charles Beaumont, starring William Shatner. Also called Shame in US release, and The Stranger in the UK release. The story centers around the machinations of a racist named Adam Cramer (portrayed by Shatner), who arrives in the fictitious small southern town of Caxton in order to incite townspeople to racial violence against the town's Black minority and court-ordered school integration. The film was shot in black and white on location in Missouri. The production was thrown out of East Prairie, Missouri, and Charleston, Missouri, because the locals objected to the film's addressing racism and segregation. Although it only had a budget of $80000, the film lost money at the box office, as the major studios had predicted. en.wikipedia.org www.imdb.com

ROGER CORMAN'S HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP CLIP

In the sleepy fishing village of Noyo, the fish aren't biting -- and that's the problem. The town's faltering economy, dependent entirely on the fishing industry, has exacerbated ongoing, racially-charged tensions between the local fishermen, who want a cannery to be constructed in the town, and the Native American population, who most definitely don't. But something else is biting -- and worse. A genetic experiment on salmon has produced a species of aquatic monstrosities that are half-man and half-fish ... and constantly on the rampage! The body count is rising. Men are being mauled to death, but the female victims suffer a far worse fate: The monsters are mating with them, trying to propagate their horrific species. Local fisherman Jim Drake (Doug McClure) and scientist Susan Drake (Ann Turkel) join forces to investigate the cause of this insidious invasion, but time is running out. Noyo's annual Salmon Festival is about to take place on the town's boardwalk, and some uninvited guests are planning to crash the party in bloodthirsty fashion, culminating in a bloodbath that pits man against monster. Amid the film's non-stop action and carnage, however, are also subtle messages about corporate corruption, preservation of the underwater ecology (years before Greenpeace hit the headlines!), and the importance of community. If the residents of Noyo are to survive, they will have to put aside their cultural and political differences and band together. If not, Noyo is doomed ...

Defcon 19: Paul Roberts, Aaron Barr, Joshua Corman and Jericho - "Whoever Fights Monsters..

This video is part of the Infosec Video Collection at SecurityTube.net: www.securitytube.net "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster." - Friedrich Nietzsche. Aaron Barr returns for the first time in what's sure to be a gritty and frank (and heated) panel. How can we conduct ourselves without losing ourselves? How far is too far - or not far enough? IT security has finally gotten the attention of the mainstream media, Pentagon generals and public policy authors in the Beltway, and is now in mortal danger of losing (the rest of) its soul. We've convinced the world that the threat is real - omnipresent and omnipotent. But recent events suggest that in their efforts to combat a faceless enemy, IT security firms and their employees risk becoming indistinguishable from the folks with the Black Hats. The Anonymous attacks and data spilled from both private- and public sector firms raise important questions that this panel will try to answer. among them how to respond to chaotic actors like Anonymous and LulzSec, what the US gains (and loses) by making "APTs" the new "Commies" and cyber the forefront of the next Cold War and APTs the new commies. Aaron, Josh and Jericho will debate whether we in the security community can fight our "monsters" without sacrificing the civil liberties and the freedoms we enjoy here at home. Roger Corman presents. . .DINOSHARK ! -- DVD & Blu-ray trailer

ROGER CORMAN PRESENTS... A PREHISTORIC HORROR OF MONSTROUS STRENGTH AND APPETITE MEETS THE 21ST CENTURY! DINOSHARK Produced by the legendary Roger Corman and Julie Corman Released on Blu-ray™ and DVD April 26, 2011 For millennia, it slept inside a frozen glacier: waiting to be set free. But with an unexpected shift of climate, the glacier cracked, and what was once extinct was reborn to unleash terror in a brave new world. On April 26, Anchor Bay Entertainment releases the hit Syfy Channel original movie Dinoshark on Blu-ray™ and DVD. Born in Antarctica, Dinoshark noses his way down the warmer currents to Mexico, towards a popular vacation spot crowded with party-goers unwittingly ready to fall prey to a prehistoric eating machine. When the killings begin, it becomes clear that no normal animal can be responsible for such savagery. Local captain Trace McGraw (Eric Balfour -- "24", The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Skyline) and marine biologist Carol (Iva Hasperger -- "CSI", "Cold Case") seem to be the only ones convinced that the creature terrorizing their shores is something other than the expected man-eating shark. They enlist the help of the world's only expert on the Dinoshark (Roger Corman himself). Together, will they be able to reel Dinoshark in? Dinoshark is the story of a terrifying sea-creature that threatens to turn a holiday swim into a bloodbath. This fierce, finned predator has to be seen to be believed: if he will let you live that long! Bonus feature includes a ...

Roger Corman / Vincent Price / Edgar Allan Poe - Club Foot

A video tribute to the cycle of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations that Roger Corman and Vincent Price made in the early 1960s. It recreates the shared narrative of four of the Poe films: Fall of the House of Usher, Pit and the Pendulum, the "Morella" segment in Tales of Terror, and Tomb of Ligeia. I also included nods to Masque of the Red Death and used some emotional beats from The Raven and The Haunted Palace. Made for classic-horror.com I do not own the Poe films, nor do I own the song "Club Foot" by Kasabian.
