MZ-HANDYMAN dlp projector lamp repair easy fix
First I must say do this at your own risk. This is simply something I tried that worked for me. I purchased a DLP projector for $3 at the Flea Market then bought the chord for $2 at a different booth. I knew it was burned out but figured it was worth the $5 to mess with. I took the bulb out and sure enough the element was burned. I figured what do I have to loose... the element in the bulb looks like the skinny "E" string on a guitar and I just happened to have one piece I clipped off when stringing my guitar. I bent it as shown in the drawing in this video. after pulling out the old element but I didn't bend it into the point I just layed it across where it would be close enough to make contact. It seemed to solder itself in place once I turned it on. I played with the projector for 3 hours playing dvd's, videos, surfing the net and turning it on and off several times. Brightboxe DLP Projector at Target 100" Inches
BrightBoxe DLP Projector found at Target. Bought this with the hopes I could get away with a projector of this price without having to spend $500+ for one. This is 16x9 but can display 4x3 as well, just adds the black boarder around it. VGA and White/Red/Yellow Connection. Able to invert image so projector can be mounted upside down. Able to project 100" no problem with about 15' of distance away from the projection area. I am projecting on an off-white wall so it's not as crisp as it could be Im sure. Mostly doing this because there isnt a lot of information out there about this projector. I purchased it at risk knowing it might not be good. If you want something for the kids in the basement... get it! Don't get it for Xbox360 or PS3. HD on a non-HD connection on this device is playable but detail is horrid. Have not personally used it on the WII, do have one to try but expect it to look fine at the resolution it uses. By the way, BrightBoxe was presenting the movie 1280x600, works at 1280x768 as well. But found 1280x600 to be better.

This is the Conclusion to my short clip a last week while I was waiting for my new DLP TV to be delivered. Please hit the like button!! I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase of this TV. I was able to take it out of the box and place it on the stand without assistance and It was simple to set up and install each of my components to this TV. If I had to have only 1 complaint, that would be that it did not have a PC input, however I found a PC to HDMI adapter online. 200watt DLP lamp testing
high pressure mercury lamp salvaged from an old DLP television. powered by 3 lead acid batteries in series. since I dont have a "proper" 200 watt ballast, I just ran the bulb off of a homemade flyback transformer. the whole circuit takes around 4 amps when fully warmed up. I was pretty surprised to see how bright that was when it fully warms up. outputs tons of white lights with plenty of UV light mixed in as well. so bright it can even ignite WHITE paper!! and o yeah I did not do well in chemistry at all. I ended up getting a 50 as my final mark.... but o well at least I passed better luck next year in grade 12
