My parents' Samsung DLP rear projection TV HL-R4667W is about 2.5 years old and has video problems. The TV Guide menu screen, Setup menu screen and audio are perfect. The video from all RCA analog inputs (Air, DVD, VCR, AV3) are showing the "Samsung Green Screen of Death" mixed with green vertical stripes, black screen, occassional flickers of video, blue screen, blue vertical stripes and rarely magenta screen, green/blue vertical striped screen. It's not the lamp, or color wheel since the menu screen display perfectly. Does anybody know what component or circuit failed? Thank you!

My Mitsubishi DLP 57731 wont start up properly. The sound comes on but the lamp never starts. You can hear it trying to spin up (high pitched whine going up/down 3 times) and toward the end you hear a fan starting up but then a relay clicks and the whole thing turns off. This most recent attempt the lamp light came on afterwards (red). If I press reset and try it again the lamp light wont come on after it fails so Im not sure if it is the lamp itself or the lamp engine.
My Toshibe DLP TV is going bad after only 3 years and no help from Toshiba! Big Mistake! They say it needs a light engine cost of $600.00. Purchase price $2000 DLP bulb replacement Cost $200 and now $600 to fix it. If I knew it would cost 6-800 a year to use it I never would have bought it. By the way it's my 3rd Toshiba but there will not be a 4th! Anyone else having this problem?
This is the Conclusion to my short clip a last week while I was waiting for my new DLP TV to be delivered. Please hit the like button!! I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase of this TV. I was able to take it out of the box and place it on the stand without assistance and It was simple to set up and install each of my components to this TV. If I had to have only 1 complaint, that would be that it did not have a PC input, however I found a PC to HDMI adapter online. If you are debating on getting this or a Flat screen and you're not planning on mounting it on the wall....save your money and grab one of these before they are all gone. Link Below cgi.ebay.com
