Trial by Fire: DPMS .308 in "The Sledgehammer," SadlyMissing Run
Mr "SadlyMissing" does a preliminary run with a tricked out DPMS LR-308 AP4 rifle and turns in something respectable: 48 pts (paired up with a Glock 34 for the pistol portion). A surprise was in store in the run as well (the SH is famous for that...Murphy's Law). The gun is DuraCoated in "Magpul FDE" coloration by Sadly (sick looking). Accustomed to shooting this gun in prone in precision courses, running this 12 lb rifle was instructional for Sadly: it's a lot of metal to wrangle in the tactical carbine role. Panther Arms DPMS AR-15 build
This is my DPMS AR-15 with Magpul vertical grip, Magpul flip up rear sight, EOTech 552 holographic weapon sight, Magpul PMAG magazine, Hogue grip, 2 piece quad rail, single point sling mount and sling and extended latch on the charging handle.

AR15, 275 yard steel target shooting. DPMS AP4 Carbine
5 Shots from my DPMS AR15 at a steel target, 1' wide, 3' tall, 1/4 inch thick. No penetration at this distance, just leaves a little dent. My Mosin Nagant punches through it like its made out of plywood...lol. AR is completely stock, its not a target gun by any stretch, but it is certainly "combat accurate".

Home assembled AR-15 from mail order sources... The Troy Rail was a bit of an adventure. I had to cut off the ring and omega spring assembly with a dremel tool due to the welded on flash hider. That wasn't too bad, kind of bead blasted part of the upper finish inadvertently with the powderized aluminum spray - scratched the receiver also when the dremel slipped as well... but it was the front handguard retainer that was the unexpected pain in the ass, it was practically welded on, it would not BUDGE ... ended up cutting it off with the dremel also! Heavy gun @ 9.5 pounds as you see it in this vid, but exactly what I set out to build - a short, accurate tactical carbine for use in real world WROL defense, like after a natural disaster - not a lightweight fantasy end of the world wander the wasteland post-apocalypse gun. I have a lighter AR-15 as well, in case I do have to wander the post-apocalyptic wasteland! LOL :) I <b>...</b>

Osprey 10-40x50mm Riflescope, DPMS 308, Timney Trigger, CAA Monopod Review
Review of the Osprey 10-40x50mm Riflescope mounted on a DPMS LR308. I purchased this scope as a temporary solution because I was on a budget and could not afford what I really wanted... a Nightforce 12-42x56mm scope. I didn't expect much in the way of performance, build quality or durability. I mean how could a $150 scope compare in any way, shape or form to a $1300 scope? Add to that the horror stories I read about Osprey and I was a little concerned. To my great surprise, my fears were not realized and in fact, I was very pleased and by how this scope performs. The only negative was the rings that were included. They were garbage in my experience -- the scope could not be zeroed because there was not enough windage adjustment to even come close. I tossed them aside and installed Leupold rings instead. Problem fixed. Bottom line is that this scope holds its zero, is very clear up until about 38x, then gets a little blurry (but is still very usable at 40x). It survived 700+ rounds of 308 ammo and is still going strong. For $150 (at the time of this video) it comes with an awful lot of features and it functions really well! Someday I will get my Nightforce scope (and I'll review it as well), but until then... I am very happy with this Osprey scope!!! This is a DPMS LR-308 .308 rifle with a 24-inch heavy stainless free-floated fluted barrel and factory-installed JP adjustable trigger (currently set around 3 lbs). The rifle comes with a 19-round factory magazine, carry strap, cleaning kit, DPMS hard-case, and aftermarket hard-case with foam lining.
DPMS M16A1 Spring Rifle Review
My review of the DPMS Panther Arms M16A1 spring rifle. Yes it is clear, get over it. Not a bad gun, but there are certainly better ones. I tried to keep this video as brief as possible, and I added music. I hope you enjoy it, because it was an ass to make for some reason. I am well aware that I say "Uh" a lot. Check out my other videos, more to follow! This was more of a test to see how well I could film through a scope with my camera. It came out well so why not post it? About the 19 shots, "ahem," that is what I counted in my head while filming. It is 19 out of 20, there must have been a flyer. T he ghosting of the reticle is not really there, must be an affect of the camera. This is a ~$55 Hammers 2x42 red dot scope. Works well for the price. Unfortunately there were people about 30ft from me, didn't want them to think I was crazy talking to my camera (thats why I dont say much). The gray protrusion at the bottom of the lens is the standard length rail. M4A2 rifle put together from the following: Noveske N4 stripped lower DPMS Chrome lined 14.5" M4 profile barrel with a DPMS A2 upper receiver, YHM Phantom #28 DPMS hard chrome bolt carrier group Stag lower parts kit Magpul MOE grip, stock, handguards and trigger guard DSA Mil Spec receiver extension (buffer tube) RRA recoil spring, buffer, and castle nut The DPMS is an excellent value for certain parts. In order to deliver a product at a low price point certain corners have to be cut. I tried to rectify the inadequacies. The build cost $800 total.
